A neighbor is junking his 1994 Cherokee Sport and I've been raiding it
for any parts I need (1996 Cherokee Classic).  So I want to change a
couple of the doors, and getting to those bolts with the star grooves in
them is real murder, and there's one that I can't even get loose ...

The driver side door top hinge of my 1984 Jeep Cherokee has broken off
the body.
It appears the welds broke away.
It took with it three dime size holes in the body where it was welded.

Do you drive your engine ultra-conservatively?  If so, it could be

I went to San Marcos, California, last week and saw gas prices from a
low of $3.099 at Costco in Palm Desert to $3.59.  Costco here is $2.839
but I didn't see any price under $3.00 in California.

Has anyone seen chrome soft top rails? I have a CJ7 that I am restoring this
time outfitted with chrome... and I would like to change out my black
aluminum rails that hold the soft top on, with SS or chrome. If you know
where I might find this, let me know.

Jeff, I'd think that position would cause lots of signal drop-outs du
to the rollbars or windshield frame getting in the way once in a whil
as he drives around.  Afterall, that satellite signal is strictly
line-of-sight as you are well aware. :
