Sunrider soft top troubles16 Jun 2008 19:56 GMT6
I'm having problems putting up the Sunrider soft top by myself. Seems it
takes two people to put it up. Anyone else experiencing this issue? (The
instructions even say, "Another person will be helpful.")
Also, the windows are difficult to zip in. On one side, the window doesn't

I was wondering if anyone knows where to get information about production
numbers for a 1981 CJ7 Larado. It has a factory 304 with an auto trans. Can
anyone tell me how many were manufactured with this configuration or where I
could find this out.

Upgrade Jeep or commuter bike?16 Jun 2008 07:19 GMT11
So the high cost of gas has got me thinking about a motorcycle as a
daily commuter.  Unbelievably the wife has bought off on the idea?!  I
don't believe in carrying debt (whenever possible), and these days I'm
of the opinion that if I can't pay cash for it, I don't really need

They phoned me today out of the blue, lotsa interesting info, and
evidently they have quite a file on somenothing we know.
However, two things:
my friend VIC. :(16 Jun 2008 01:00 GMT20
Well, there I was...
Driving down the road when beep/flash/beep/bee/fl.. blank.
There went the VIC.  Then it came back.  Then it went away.
So now it's sitting on my lab bench and I'm staring at a

When breaking from a higher speed, the steering wheel starts wobbling
as if you have a really unbalanced wheel, in fact the entire car
shakes, its really bad and seems to get worse.  I had the car about

my 258 is not idling properly.  Sometimes it will idle when cold for a
little bit, but quickly starts to stall everytime.  I can get it to
idle if i close the choke a little bit by hand.  What does this mean?
is it too lean? if so how do you make it more rich  Also i can see gas
Windshield header leak14 Jun 2008 04:29 GMT17
Any clue what's causing a leak to occur from my windshield header
every time it rains? I have to park with my tail end up so the water
drains out the front floorboard drain hole when it rains.

Where do you go to talk jeep now?13 Jun 2008 20:33 GMT5
I check this group at 3 to 4 month intervals because it has turned
into a sh.t pit of conversation.  Despite my optimism that "goats,
faggots, and death threats" will go away, they still dominate this
board???  Why this is tolerated by the service providers is beyond
2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee P0118 Error Code13 Jun 2008 04:52 GMT5
Friend of mine has a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8.  She recently had a
radiator leak and got the radiator, thermostat and hoses replaced.
The car seemed to run hot before that.  Now, 2 weeks after, the engine
light came on and the code reads P0118 Engine Coolant Temp Circuit
Speaker Fuzz13 Jun 2008 00:34 GMT13
2005 liberty. 64K miles. High end factory multi-CD changer. Left door
speaker (not Infinity) has low end buzz. Kind of a blapping sound on very
low notes. I think the voice coil is shot. Anybody have any thoughts on a
replacement? Mike Simmons? How about the cost of factory ...
Req: some advice on undercoating and Rhino lining situation12 Jun 2008 14:30 GMT1
I have a 2005 Jeep with aftermarket bumpers. Following a minor
fender-bender and some cosmetic damage, the original paint on the
bumpers ( which might have been a JC Whitney coating of some sort; I
bought the Jeep second hand and the dealership didn't know exactly
