It's been a few months and it appears as if things have gotten somewhat back to normal. I have missed the group, and I am glad those of you who are still here have been able to stick it out. I just didn't have the time to go through all the crap.

| Outside the box Jeep electrical question | 31 Oct 2008 02:39 GMT | 5 |
OK. I'll try to keep this short. For almost 2 years now my 1994 Cherokee 4.0 automatic has had this unfixable problem involving the throttle position sensor. Basically the Jeep drive just fine and smoothly but once you drive 10-15 minutes in the city or drive the

Idle drops when stopping. Recent rebuild on the carb. Idle drops down to 200-300 and sometimes stalls all together when stopping. I have ensured the idle tubes are clean and the hole size is .032" and the idle still drops when stoppping. Need to give the gas pedal a shot

| seized camshaft, replacement engine cost? | 24 Oct 2008 03:42 GMT | 30 |
Lost power Wrangler 2000 4l in-line 6 cyl. and got it towed. One owner (me) 148,000 miles. Garage thought at first it was timing chain problem. Got into the engine and turns out cam shaft seized up. That means a new motor. Anyone have any ideas on why that would happen. No

| windshield wipers on my Grand Wagon | 23 Oct 2008 15:55 GMT | 10 |
I turned the windshield wipers on in my '88 Grand Wagon Saturday and they failed to work. You can hear the motor run but the wipers don't move. If you hand move them, they turn freely like they aren't connecting to the motor anymore. I haven't had time to get under there, I plan ...

I will be going off road for the first time soon. I was told by someone that after you go through water deep enough to come up to (and over) the floor board you should change your fluids. He referenced the differentials. I am doing the routine oil change this weekend using full ...

| leaf spring rub | 20 Oct 2008 14:55 GMT | 7 |
On one of the rear leaf springs ('95 YJ), the military wrap leaf rotated enough so that it is just touching the spring hanger. I put grease on it to try to minimize the friction there. Is this something I should fix by re-aligning the leaves or just not worry about?
