Checking In31 Oct 2008 21:33 GMT19
Well, It has been many months since I have posted due to all the crap
it seems better now.  Back ground review, my 04 TJ is mainly stock
with a recent winch installation, short shift install, 46K on the
odometer, original  15-30x9.5 tires still have enough tread for this
Just looking in31 Oct 2008 05:41 GMT33
It's been a few months and it appears as if things have gotten somewhat back
to normal. I have missed the group, and I am glad those of you who are still
here have been able to stick it out. I just didn't have the time to go
through all the crap.
Outside the box Jeep electrical question31 Oct 2008 02:39 GMT5
OK. I'll try to keep this short. For almost 2 years now my 1994
Cherokee 4.0 automatic has had this unfixable problem involving the
throttle position sensor. Basically the Jeep drive just fine and
smoothly but once you drive 10-15 minutes in the city or drive the
Crazy Idea for Jeep Willys wagon30 Oct 2008 23:54 GMT1
There is a '59 (I think) Willys Wagon for sale in my neighborhood.
The body and suspension are good but the owner made some
modifications, ie he swapped out the original motor for a Chevy 390 or
something..  The guy wants about $4000 for it.  I think I can talk him
88 YJ Idle27 Oct 2008 00:57 GMT2
Idle drops when stopping.  Recent rebuild on the carb.  Idle drops
down to 200-300 and sometimes stalls all together when stopping.  I
have ensured the idle tubes are clean and the hole size is .032" and
the idle still drops when stoppping. Need to give the gas pedal a shot

Last weekend we were out and about and one of Jeeps started to over
heat due to a pin hole in the radiatoe hose.  Wrapped with some hose
repair tape and worked rather well.  No biggy right? we always carry

Turbo Jeep!24 Oct 2008 04:20 GMT7
OK, here we go......
I have a 97 TJ that is a 'streetster'.
I'm looking to stick a turbo under the hood of my 97 TJ 2.5L.  Yes, a
2.5L 4 banger!  The only parts I need to purchase are the turbo and inter-
seized camshaft, replacement engine cost?24 Oct 2008 03:42 GMT30
Lost power Wrangler 2000 4l in-line 6 cyl. and got it towed. One owner
(me) 148,000 miles. Garage thought at first it was timing chain
problem. Got into the engine and turns out cam shaft seized up. That
means a new motor. Anyone have any ideas on why that would happen. No
FS: AMC 20 widetrack w/Superior Axles23 Oct 2008 22:05 GMT12
Complete AMC 20 widetrack rear differential with about 205,000 miles
from an '82 Scrambler. Includes one piece Superior Axles with about
110,000 miles, one spare Superior Axle (never used), good brake drums,
good wheel cylinders, recently (March) replaced wheel bearings, recent
windshield wipers on my Grand Wagon23 Oct 2008 15:55 GMT10
I turned the windshield wipers on in my '88 Grand Wagon Saturday and they
failed to work. You can hear the motor run but the wipers don't move. If you
hand move them, they turn freely like they aren't connecting to the motor
anymore. I haven't had time to get under there, I plan ...
Deep water/fluid changing question22 Oct 2008 09:49 GMT4
I will be going off road for the first time soon. I was told by someone that
after you go through water deep enough to come up to (and over) the floor
board you should change your fluids. He referenced the differentials. I am
doing the routine oil change this weekend using full ...

alook under the hood  and seen a hose off probably from the epa system I put
the hose back on and fixed the problem, lucky I wasn't in ...
leaf spring rub20 Oct 2008 14:55 GMT7
On one of the rear leaf springs ('95 YJ), the military wrap leaf
rotated enough so that it is just touching the spring hanger.  I put
grease on it to try to minimize the friction there.  Is this something
I should fix by re-aligning the leaves or just not worry about?
