OK, I've owned 3 Cherokee's and 2 Wrangler's.  All have been '93-'95 model
years.  I know that in '97 the Wrangler changed(not really interested in a
coil spring Wrangler), but how long did the Cherokee's keep the same
body/drive train?

LR tail lamp operates normally (back-up in reverse, normal running
lights, turn signal and brake lamp) as long as the headlights are off.
With headlights on, the running lights, back-up and turn signals work

mechanical clutch to a hydraulic clutch about four years ago.

I have a 1980 CJ-5   (in great shape) at a vacation spot in the mountains.
On the very last day of our recent Holiday trip, the headlight switch got
extremely hot, and started smoking.  I stopped the car, turned off the
