1997 Jeep Cherokee31 Mar 2009 15:28 GMT5
The drivers power seat stopped working and I chased the problem to the
red (+) feed wire. I checked every fuse and couldn't find one for the
power seat. The wire disappears under the carpet and I don't feel like
tearing the interior apart. I would like to splice a new wire into the
Trip Report in Pictures:  Mojave Trail, and question29 Mar 2009 19:41 GMT3
I did the Mojave Trail over the past 3 days with my father and son.
130 miles round trip.  Needles to Yerma.  Overall pretty easy, some
nasty off camber stuff and crap load of very deep soft powder sand
making the going slow.  The winds were powerful, 70mph in the sand
Intermittent starting problem with 1996 Cherokee29 Mar 2009 15:50 GMT5
1996, Cherokee Classic, 4.0 L straight-6.  For the last few years this
has occurred, but as time has passed it is more and more frequent (I'd
say now that it happens about 1 out of 15 starts):
Turning the key causes all the gauges to illuminate (radio plays, etc.),
Liftgate wiper 96 XJ29 Mar 2009 00:56 GMT2
I think my rear liftgate wiper motor is probably going bad, but before I
spring for a new one I'd appreciate any input from wiser heads out there.
The vehicle is a RHD '96 4.0 XJ and when I set the switch to "Wipe" the arm
travels a few inches, stops for a few seconds, then ...
conceal door damage?25 Mar 2009 17:10 GMT5
I've got a 94 cherokee 4 door.  A while back, I caught the passenger
side on a barrier that was sticking into the road as I made a right
hand turn, and gouged the sheet metal on both doors.   The thing has
140,000 miles on it, and while mechanically sound, I can't see putting
ignition lock light stays on - help!22 Mar 2009 22:04 GMT28
1995 Cherokee Jeep..Has been lying unused for about 8 or nine months.. and
now.  .. the ignition light (it's like an illuminated ring around the
ignition keyhole) stays on all the time, even when the key is removed,
eventually flattening the battery..  This sounds like a stuck relay ...

Last week I replaced the stock 30x9.5x15 with BFG 31x10x15 did not
even have to adjust steering stops.  The rear tire carrier ...
How's the frikis situation?21 Mar 2009 04:56 GMT70
How's the frikis situation in this NG?  My YJ is nearing 100,000 and I was
thinking of having a party for it.  Last time I was in here it was Bill
Hughes tilting at windmills trying to get all the immorals off Usenet.  Well
I still have the Jeep but I didn't buy that Dodge Nitro ...
91 4.0 oil pressure20 Mar 2009 21:04 GMT14
Have a 91 wrangler 130K.  The jeep was a rebuild from the frame up by The
Jeep Doctor.   The engine was sitting for almost 4 years before it was
installed.  There is a noisy lifter that shows up after the engine has
warmed up.  I noticed that the noise starts after the oil ...
2006 TJ Serpentine Belt Screeching?20 Mar 2009 06:31 GMT11
My 2006 TJ is making a screeching noise when it is cold.  It has the
S6 4L with the automatic tensioner pulley.  I am assuming it is the
belt, but it looks ok -- maybe a little glazed, but not too bad.  Has
my tensioner gone soft?  Or is the noise something else all together

her fog lamps will not shut off. checked fuse under the hood, power fuse is
obviously working, but when removed, lights stay on, so i removed the fog
97 ZJ 5.2 radiator drain16 Mar 2009 03:58 GMT5
How far does the radiator drain on the 97 5.2 ZJ unscrew?  It turned a
quarter turn easily then seemed to hit a stop.  It's not draining, and
attempting to rod out the fitting through the hole at the bottom met solid
resistance.  Is there a trick I've missed?

dana 300 speedometer gear12 Mar 2009 19:17 GMT9
is there away to calculate what size speedometer gear I need in a dana

size, old ring gear size etc.

cj master brake cylinder12 Mar 2009 06:21 GMT8
tried to look it up, but can't find it.
On a master brake cylinder (no booster) on a 79 CJ5 the front line is
for the front brakes? right?
(converting to power brakes , don't want to mix up the lines)
