I own a 2001 Jeep TJ Sport with manual transmission. I've had this car
for almost five years and it has been very reliable. No problems at

I went wheeling last week on the colorado river.  Decided to have some
fun in a wash, it was rutted so going was slow.  Anyway a few minutes
on the wash and bam, transfer case slipped out of 4wd or more likely
went up into half neutral etc.  I was only going say 5mph, but man

Had a question. Every time I drive my Wrangler after about 5-10 min.
the temp gauge goes all the way up to the red, then comes back down to
normal, even below halfway on the gauge. Then it stays there. Does
this sound like a thermostat issue? Gauge issue? Thanks
