Just checking in18 Nov 2009 21:36 GMT23
Just checking in to see if the haterz are still hanging here.  I don't see
too many.  I put the Wrangler in the ditch last Friday, heading uphill in
four inches of wet snow.  It turns out that part time fwd isn't so good in a
skid.  We got a good foot of the stuff in Silverton ...
1996 XJ Clunk, Clunk, Clunk16 Nov 2009 01:32 GMT9

clunk, clunk noise if its been driven in 4WD on hard pavement . . .
and when that happens, you drive it in 4WD and Reverse to fix the
problem. Well, I didn't drive in 4WD on dry pavement, but my 96 XJ

Engine Problem/  2000 JGC11 Nov 2009 07:03 GMT10
I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 4.7 liter engine.   198,000 miles.
Engine has been literally perfect to now.
In the last week, engine has stalled three times, at very slow idle, or very
low speed.    I have then noticed that all of a sudden, it is sluggish to

Temperature Gauge09 Nov 2009 04:46 GMT2
My 1987 Grand Wagoneer (AMC 360) temperature gauge is not working.  I
have replaced the sending unit AND the gauge, and still not working.
What's next to try?
Thanks to all.
Replacement for Michelin All Terrain tires09 Nov 2009 00:49 GMT5
Jeep 2000 Grand Cherokee.   Bought Michelin Cross Terrain tires  (245/70/16)
three years ago, and put  74,000 miles on them.   Now, I can't find these
same tires anywhere.   Not at Sears/ Walmart/ Sam's Club/ Sun Tire/ etc, and
many online outlets.
85 Amp Alternator08 Nov 2009 22:43 GMT2
How do you tell if a Grand Wagoneer (AMC 360) has an 85 Amp Alternator
or not?  I can find no data plate on the alternator, but this is how
the parts store determines which belts are correct.
Stripped Pressure Plate Bolt07 Nov 2009 00:00 GMT7
Ok,
so I over torqued a clutch pressure plate bolt and I think I stripped it in
the flywheel.  The bolt isn't coming out and I cant turn the bolt by hand.
The other four bolts are seated very nice.  So...can I leave it alone?
2004 Jeep Cherokee turn signal flasher06 Nov 2009 23:24 GMT7
I am trying to replace the turn signal flasher, which is located in
the fuse panel under the left side dash. I cannot reach the flasher,
although I can see it. I'm trying to remove the fuse panel so I can
get my hands on it. No luck so far. Any ideas? Thanks!
