roof boxes08 Sep 2004 08:13 GMT9
Just been looking at the omistore boxes, and the prices are way over the top
considering you can buy anynumber of plastic suitcases cheaply these days
and it is not beyond wit and ingenuity to bolt these onto a roofrack, what
is more, there are as useful off as on.
110/series LWB rear bench seats08 Sep 2004 07:35 GMT20
BLRS sell seats as reproduction replacements for the longitudinal bench
seats in the back of LWB wagons, both series and 110.
these are apparently 48" long.
anyone got these (or indeed, LR originals) and care to measure them for me?

Discovery oil leaks07 Sep 2004 21:16 GMT3
I only bought my Disco last year. Quite pleased to get back to LR
ownership. I had a 72 Range Rover  V8 a few years ago. Beat hell out
of it on Salisbury plain on Sunday and still drove it to work on
Monday.
Any one after a bonnet?07 Sep 2004 21:01 GMT8
Been having a clear out after rebuilding the old Series III... Running
around in a Rangey makes you forget a bit what motoring is all about -
the sheer heady joy of maintaining 40mph against all the odds...
Anyway - got a new bonnet with the spare wheel mount, so the old one is
Paddocks - Good Service07 Sep 2004 21:00 GMT4
There have been a couple of moans about Paddocks of late, so to
redress the balance a little:-
Bought  a new middle box from them in January (which fitted well).
Started noticing a slightly odd noise in about June, which I thought
Range Rover 4.2 LSE07 Sep 2004 20:32 GMT1
I've two questions on the RR Classic 4.2 LSE:
1. Was the 1993 RR Classic LSE available in LSE or also as LSE Vogue? Is
there a listing on all the features of that model year available?
2. Had all LSE with ABS rear traction control fitted? If no, how to find
Series ignition07 Sep 2004 19:55 GMT14
What's the best way to go to electronic ignition on a petrol series
motor?  Complete replacement dizzy (but which?) or a kit of some kind?

rev counter07 Sep 2004 16:06 GMT5
my new (ish) alternator has an output for a rev counter.
could I fit one of those td5 rev counters to run from the alternator
output?
if so is the rev range of my 1984 2.5 na diesel similar to the td5?
Range Rover Classic Headlights07 Sep 2004 15:47 GMT15
Think its time to replace the headlights.
One has lost some silvering, and the other is doing a passable
impression of a goldfish bowl.
Think that either sealed beam or "replaceable bulb" style units were

Here's one for you to convert to a bus Austin, or maybe Larry could just

discovery ticking noise07 Sep 2004 13:02 GMT13
I have a 1994 300 tdi with a strange ticking noise
The noise only happens above 2500 revs and only when the engine is
under load such as accelerating, hill climbing etc.
I have replaced the front pipe and manifold gasket.
