Thieves07 Sep 2004 09:51 GMT14
Last night they broke into the back of my landie, and stole the trolley
jack, small petrol can and footpump, which I had neglected to secure to the
seat frames in the usual way with a bike lock :(
They were clearly amateur opportunists as they first tried the back door,

Some time ago on one of the NG I saw a set of postings about pressures and
how to calculate them for a particular set up.
Anybody know of this ?
I would like to calculate the correct pressures for my 110 CSW on alloys

Breaking discovery for parts...06 Sep 2004 22:44 GMT16
Well, we are now the owners of a 200Tdi for the ambulance project, but
its still wrapped up in a Discovery.
All previous postings on 3.5 V8 are now redundant. Please accept my thanks.
Now, anyone want any bits from a 1991 Disco ? Or of course a 3.5 V8 ?

Type-approved bullbar list06 Sep 2004 20:47 GMT4
I understand it's possible EU Legislation could ban bull bars from the
beginning of next year. This being the case, does anyone have a list of
type-approved bars? I've got wraparound bars on my 110 csw but want to
replace it with a plain A and I'd rather not waste my money!
2.5 litre sherpa diesel no-start06 Sep 2004 20:18 GMT14
Just finished rebuilding after replacing the hotspots in my landy
cylinder head. Damn thing won't start!
I have bled the fuel filter using the lift pump, and found one bleed
screw on the diesel pump, again bled with lift pump.

Banana-shaped 1976 109" w/canvas - run away?06 Sep 2004 10:16 GMT5
Looking at a 109" Diesel with full canvas tilt to use for
filming/running about on the Waverley Route Heritage Association's
railbed/land - my cars can't quite handle the track even though I saw an
Escort van and a Volvo 740 belting down it!

PolyBush Softness?06 Sep 2004 07:54 GMT1

Advice on water pumps05 Sep 2004 19:02 GMT1
If anyone is about to buy a waterpump for a Series 2.25l engine, please
note that if it is a Britparts one that it will need 4 M6 bolts to hold the
pulley and fan on.  Thankfully when I did mine today my neighbour had some
he could give me, otherwise I would have been stuffed. ...
RRC + broken coil spring05 Sep 2004 18:48 GMT11
Have just peered under the old beast while refitting the rear seats and
noticed that the N/S/R coil spring is broken about 1 turn up from the
axle end.  Oh b**********s
Maybe this is why N/S/F and O/S/R tyres are wearing on their outer edges
The sound of bending metal..05 Sep 2004 18:31 GMT36
.... was not what I expected on my early morning trip to work. At 06.30
hours  I'm pulling onto the estates main circular road. I get about 40
meters from my Juction when a Rover Coupe comes flying out of a side road
straight into the side of Alfie. Said Rover was then deposited by ...
