When mounting bullbars, are the standard bumper bolts long enough or is it

SIII Brakes05 Sep 2004 09:48 GMT4
On the rear brakes, should the 'anchor' thingy (the banjo shaped thing) go on the leading or trailing shoe?
That is, on the right hand side (say) should it go on the shoe nearest the front or the back?
The Haynes manual (yuk!) gives no idea.
Thanks,

Creaks and squeaks from suspension on RR04 Sep 2004 23:55 GMT1
My rear drivers side suspension has started to creak/rattle when go
over bumps on my RR Classic (91). It normally does it when it drops
into a hole/dip down the yard track. There is no obvious damage to the
spring. I had originally thought it was the exhaust pipe rattling
Range Rover with LPG04 Sep 2004 22:51 GMT26
I have just bought a RR, 98, manual with  36K on the clock (supposed
to be genuine miles).  The motor has an LPG system fitted, the tank
appears to be quite small, previous owner told me it took £15 to fill
it with gas.
Deadlocks for 90?04 Sep 2004 22:47 GMT6
Thieving locals have been into my 90 and have removed a load of very
expensive kit.  Police who turned up said that you can break in through the
door locks on these using a tea-spoon!
Is any-one selling a more secure solution / after-market lock?  I'd like to
Diff lock light04 Sep 2004 20:51 GMT10
Is it possible for the diff lock light to be on ( whilst the diff lock
lever is engaged) yet the diff lock itself not be engaged?
I suppose I'm asking if the light is activated by a mechanical contact
that is independant  of true engagement.
OT. Funny things you hear.04 Sep 2004 20:08 GMT3
The shops in Yeovil run a security system where details of known shoplifters
and/os dodgy characters are sent via walky talkies to all shops.
Whilst shopping with my daughter (very expensive exercise) the following
discription came over the system..

Where to put the jerrycan04 Sep 2004 16:05 GMT14
As my conversion into a stealth camper proceeds and I add joinery to my
skills, space on the inside becomes more of a premium and I don't exactly
want to share living space with a jerrycan. I have seen pictures of
expedition prepared vehicles where these things sit on the roofrack ...

V8 oil pressure04 Sep 2004 12:49 GMT12
I have a 3.5 V8 in my series 3 the engine was originally from a rover P6 but
I have fitted a kit to uprate the oil pump to the longer type gears.
What I am wondering is what pressure I should have at different engine
speeds.
