Series 3, 88 inch 2and a quarter petrol, 1983, 7 seater station waggon. Hi all, Well decided today with a friend to change the points, condenser and rotor arm. Changed them over with new plugs and leads. Everything went fine.

I have a 1998 defender with a 2.5 TD engine. The breather on the oil filler keeps running oil into my air filter. I have cleaned out the filler cap on a number of occasions, and still the problem persists. I believe that this is a normal problem, so I am after advice on

I think one of my heater plugs is dead. on starting the engine one of the cylinders intermittantly misses creating a puff of smoke for the first couple of minutes after starting.

Came out from a friends house last night to find I had a flat rear tyre. Locked the central diff lock as per handbook instruction and changed wheel. Drove home about a mile with the diff still engaged as I could not get it to disengage.

I'm doing some digging around for future mods for my car (93 200 Disco) and am now looking at diff lockers. The ARBs seem to be somewhere between very and hellishly expensive. The Macnamaras are more expensive
