Freelander rear wndow16 Sep 2004 18:42 GMT8
On our Freelander, if you open the rear window, to say half open, and stop
it, and then try and close it a fracton, it does not close a bit but opens
all the way.
You seem to have to close it all the way shut and then open it again and try

Clear Indicators16 Sep 2004 13:32 GMT9
Does anyone know where I can get a clear set of indicators for my TD5 90
, I saw them on one of the lighting stalls at the LRE Show. They were
about 7 quid each (but they only had one) and I have lost the details of
the shop now :-(
power steering16 Sep 2004 06:48 GMT5
I have had my 93 range rover about six months with no steering
problems. However after being away two weeks the steering is very
heavy when slowly going around corners but still seems okay on the
motorway. Is this a co-incidence with the vehicle being unused for two
110 Bad earth - where to look16 Sep 2004 00:22 GMT1
I have a 93 110 CSW which seems to have a bad earth, but I am not sure where
to look. When I press the brake pedal (and brake lights come on), the fuel
gauge drops to empty.
Anyone have any ideas/experience with this.
Weld or replace?15 Sep 2004 22:39 GMT5
Recently bought a 1989 90TD who's chassis has seen better days.  It requires
fairly substantial welding (about 5 evenings worth) which a friend said he
would do for ?200, but after this I will still have a 15 yo patched up
chassis, which will be fine, but another friend says he can ...
Squeaky Brakes on Freelander15 Sep 2004 20:26 GMT5
We have a '98 Freelander whose front brakes squeak, mainly in dry weather
conditions.
The squeak is a continuous 'singing' which is worse when the front wheels
are turned, and eases up when the wheels are straightened up again.

I have a Series III which has developed loud bearing rumble on overrun.
and I'd like to lay the symptoms before the group.
I shall have to get it fixed...  I may have been pushing my luck getting
home.
Series 2a dash panel terminals15 Sep 2004 19:50 GMT17
Top left of the centre dash panel on Series 2a, there are two small
sockets, one with a red surround and one with black surround.  I'm
assuming that they are a remote 12v supply and earth, but what are
they for?

If there is, please expect to see a purple 101 parked in any nearby
brakes. it's not that, so what is it?15 Sep 2004 10:14 GMT16
OK, I have managed now to properly adjust the brake shoes on the back
of my 110.
However when I actually use the brakes the symptoms are just the same
(needs a couple of presses of the pedal to get the rear brakes to play

Free Wheeling Hubs  OUCH!15 Sep 2004 08:41 GMT5
Checking all the wheels today i noticed movement on the front
wheel. So decided to have a look (Wish i never bothered). Looked in the
haynes manual and calculated the hub nut might want tightening.
Problem How the hell do you get the Fairy freewheeling hubs off. Undid the
Autobox Question15 Sep 2004 00:29 GMT13
Piglet won't change down, and changing up seems to be delayed. Apart from
the obvious fluid check, is there anything it might be? I can't check the
level as I;ve waited for it to go cold...and now it's dark!?!
