| .uk group proposal on GPS | 16 Oct 2004 16:39 GMT | 6 |
I posted a while ago about a proposal to create a new group in the uk.rec hierarchy (proposed as: uk.rec.gps). I'm not related to, or have any personal knowledge of the proponent (if anything, he can be a bit of a PITA judging from other groups), but I'd be interested to

In a rare move of cunning I left my light on the other day and killed the battery. Anyway, I got it jump started and then charged it overnight when I got home. I tried to start it the other morning and it was dead. More charging and I

| Tdi oil pressure - any ideas? | 15 Oct 2004 15:43 GMT | 18 |
I've just fitted a 200Tdi motor into my 90, complete with Allisport intercooler. The question I have is, while dring normally, ie 10 miles of A roads, the oil pressure reads 45-50 psi. However on a v long run 30+ miles or when towing the oil pressure drops as low as 35psi. Now

I try to use the best oil I can for the 300 Tdi, whatever the cost. Last year the local motor factor showed me Comma semi-synthetic oil ( as recomended in his 'bible' ) and as I have heard that the other company products tend to win quite a few reveiws I used it. Seems OK; certainly

| Non-return valve | 14 Oct 2004 22:32 GMT | 8 |
After failing to keep to the advice "shiny side up, greasy side down" on a CCV trial, I have discovered that Tiggrr will leak fuel from its tank if the angle of dangle is extreme enough. The leak is through the breather pipe, and I need a non-return valve to allow air in, but
