Bruce is thinking of getting a webber carb for the lightweight and just wanted to know if it would be a good move. What differences will there be compared to the standard fitted one?

you know the kind I mean around the ?20 mark (Sh!tparts) :) just had 2 and they didn't even make it onto the motor. One had a loose stalk the other had a fecked self cancel. Ended up ordering a Lucas one for a lot more (over twice the price).

Anyone got a headlamp switch for a RRC they can get to me really quick. I bought one & it's knackered. Monty goes in at the weekend for an MOT re-test & the bloody thing's broken inside. Dealers want ?35 & they don't stock it. It's an 89 RRC & the switch is on the steering column ...

I have a SWB Series IIa running 7.50 Kingpin remoulds on the back, 7.50 General SAGs on the front. Tyre pressures at about 28-30 all round, plenty of tread left on the Kingpins. However, in the wet it has a lethal tendancy for the back end to lose

Iwonder if any reader hascome across this type of fitting. I have a Fairey capstan winch and i understand there was a kit to allowit to be fitted to aDefender. If you have any knowledge or experience i would like to hear from you. Any picture would be useful also

Just been to look at a G reg Landrover 90 TD 2500. Mileage 109,000. Not mechanically minded, and have no idea on prices of second hand landrovers. Knocked about a bit , to be expected, but feels smooth driving.

anybody in their infinite knowledge base have any idea why my 300 Tdi '98 sqeals after rain/ damp night but not in the warm. I have a strong hunch it is the W pump but would it not squeal all the time ??? Tia John H
