The new Disco was in town for the Week End at the Local Dealership. No chance to have a test drive, but I had the chance to have a test-sit. I'm really impressed by the progress in the apparent quality, equipment and practicality.

Not exactly LandRover but it could be. I have a diesel car that has had a battery charging issue for a while. The battery has had trouble holding a charge for more than 3 days. It also had an issue of the charge light staying on and the rev counter not registering

I've a couple of probles with my 2.25 engine which has been stood & neglectedfor a long long time. First, when I remove the drain plug unde the exhaust manifold nothing come out. I've poked a piece of wire in and all i get is a black gooey substance - and not much of it.

The other day, someone I had not met before said to me. "I bet you drive a land rover" Was it the wide brimmed hat, the camo jacket, or maybe the black under my fingernails :)

Haynes suggest that to remove the clutch master cylinder you have to remove the pedal box and the pedal from the vehicle. On my old 2a I seem to remember that you could wriggle the master cylinder out of the pedal box without taking pedal or box off the bulkhead. Am I going to ...

Yesterday I visited a Jag breakers yard and got a pair of the correct carbs for Percy my Jag powered IIa. Having learned my tinkering lessons a long time ago I gave them a quick swill off with the appropriate cleaner and left them on the shelf untouched and unmessed with.

I am in the process of swapping the reg number of my old trialler over to my not to old 90. I have filled in the V317 from the DVLA and written out the cheque. However, I have one problem. The chassis number is missing from the 2a as that part of the chassis rusted away
