First time off-road in Discovery - a question07 Oct 2004 13:03 GMT29
Had a brilliant time off-roading for the first time in my discovery over the
weekend - it performed as expected. One question though - what is noise that
I can hear on occasion, it seems to happen when one of the wheels looses
traction. It sounds like a relay or ratcheting sound. My ...

it wont move and and putting it in park wont hold it.

Viscous fan drive06 Oct 2004 20:37 GMT22
My 90 2.5 TD starts to creep up the temperature gauge if left idling for a
while, or when towing up a steep hill. The fan is stiff to turn when cold,
but seems pretty easy when hot.
Would any one with more experience than me care to confirm that this is:

BFG tyre balance06 Oct 2004 13:23 GMT12
I fitted a set of BFG ATs to the Rangie last year.  Supplied and fitted by
local ATS, who have always been A1 as far as I am concerned.  The fitter
commented that he had a lot of trouble getting them balanced.  At about
10,000 miles a slight wobble developed at the front (about ...

Good 'Landy's through the ages' book?06 Oct 2004 08:37 GMT14
Working on the basis that we will probably get a Landy sometime
(probably not a lightweight .. tried to get in my mates yesterday and
it would probably be ok if I had 18" cut off my legs and my eyes

Much more chilled today...06 Oct 2004 07:31 GMT5
This new water seperator has increased acceleration and pick up of the
engine no end. (On the Rangie). The slop that can out of the old seperator
was disgusting. I couldn't drain it though due to the drain plug having
snapped and the unions being siezed solid. That fire was ...
