Inverter wattage output.29 Oct 2004 22:23 GMT32
This is on topic as I want to put an old PIII machine in the 101 to use for
navigation software and also when parked up to use a TV card through to
allow viewing of Satelite reception save carrying yet more bulky tv stuff
with me (note therefore it won't be viewable on the move)
Petrol Tank Disposal29 Oct 2004 22:14 GMT16
Having changed my petrol tank I thought I'd be a good citizen and find out
how to make it safe before taking it to the tip.  The council's answer was
that they will not take petrol tanks, made safe or not, and they wouldn't
tell me how to make it safe.  So I now have not only an ...
Oh Bugger me RRC is poorly29 Oct 2004 19:07 GMT12
Just got back from the garage, the news isn't good for the engine at all. The mechanic found the inside
of the distributor all blackened & burned. He tells me it's from the crankcase fumes. Anyone know what
would cause this? some kind of filter blockage, I didn't have time to ...

Auxilliary Heater29 Oct 2004 09:06 GMT3
I've just been taking my "other car" - a Rover 75 - to bits and putting it
back together.
It has a diesel auxilliary heater - a Webasto Thermotop.
I'm trying to figure out what this particular heater does for a living -

V8 Disco leaking28 Oct 2004 23:20 GMT4
I am looking at a V8 Discovery (MY1994) with a mind to buying it but it has
a fluid leak at the front/bottom of the engine.
It looks like engine oil but it may be some thing else.
The vehicle in question has an auto box and air con so there is plenty of

What is an Underride Protection Bar? new Defender28 Oct 2004 09:45 GMT5
I see that one of the factory fitted options on a new Defender 90 is
an "underride protection bar" but I presume it is quite different to a
metal sump guard which can be added as a dealer-fit accessory.
Can anybody tell me what the underride protection bar is? Is it like

300 Tdi Defender Door Hinge Bolts28 Oct 2004 09:05 GMT19
On the weekend, I decided to try to pump some "Waxoyl" into the bulkhead of
the Defender. I wanted to get it down into the channels that the door hinges
bolt into, so I thought that by removing the top door hinge bolt, I might
gain access for the tube.

at the very least.
Let's try to make sure they get no more business eh...
