Anyone else using BT's news server?  It's normally pretty good, but in the
last few days it's been missing lots of posts - some threads about 1 in 2,
so I can only reconstruct a conversation from the bits left unsnipped in the

Moss growing on canvas
It's been so warm and wet in Manchester (UK) this summer that the new
canvas on my 1975 Series 3 is turning green.
Any ideas how to kill the moss without damaging the waterproofing?

Does anyone know the location of the electric windows ECU on a 95 Disco
300Tdi? I need to check the output voltage for the rear windows as they seem
to have died suddenly.

S2a, 2.25 petrol, Zenith carb, 70k miles.
Running well, but running rich.  Started after 5 secs with or without
choke, small amount of black smoke while running, doing about 15mpg.
All the indications are that it's running rich.  Adjusted volume

I have a defender 90 TD5 it had the 1800000km service and had all the required done.
I am most concerned about the durability of land rover, it seems to have to have major thing go wrong at times
At  175.000km I had the air flow meter replaced

I bought a Farm Jack 48" for ?25 from this guy .. g1kwo .. on Ebay, thinking
I'd have to take my chances.
But the jack is pretty well like a High Lift / Jackall, some differences,

Ages ago I found a web site advertising replacment cores for the old Series
heaters, the round ones.  I remember that they were rather expensive! But I
can't find the site now.

Picked up a good condition 2kg foam extinguisher today, just trying to

My Disco is a pretty standard 5 door 7 seater, and I'd like not to impinge
