Defender 110/ 90 side steps25 Oct 2004 11:54 GMT3
Clearing shed and found two rubber covered 97/ 98 110 CSW side steps I took
off after bending the others.
Anybody wants them, you collect. Pretty good virtually free of rust.

Jerry Can Carriers25 Oct 2004 11:19 GMT4
Can anybody recommend a source of these? I've found a few places, but I
always like more than 2 options, especially when one of them is Craddocks.
I'm looking at bolting two of them together to mount on a roofrack, so they
really have to be bottom mounted.
Gear Stick Shake !!!25 Oct 2004 07:16 GMT2
Got a 2001 Freelander TD4 which appears to have just developed a fault.
When I accelerate between 2000 & 3000 rpms the gear stick begins to shake
quite badly, there appears to be a faint sound as well.  Is this likely to
be a transmission fault or something else.  Does it sound like ...

Land Rover / Ford Light Goods Vehicle24 Oct 2004 14:57 GMT20
Seems the Llama may in some form make a return.
Course, it won't be a Llama, more a 4WD Transit van I guess.
Doesn't look like it'll be made at Solihull either.
Seems hardly worth putting a Green Oval on it :-(
Just seen the new Disco in the flesh24 Oct 2004 13:27 GMT9
Just nipped to the local dealer for a new badge & they had one there. It's bloody horrible from all
angles except from the front. The interior did look quite nice to be honest.
To be honest It looks like a transit van with windows in.
Might take a bit of getting used to!
Oh yessss!!! This could be good!! radio debate about 4x4's!24 Oct 2004 13:02 GMT30
Well, I live in west Yorkshire & the local BBC radio station is radio Leeds,
there is a presenter called Daragh Corkerhan (sp?) & he constantly bangs on
about the menace of 4x4's etc etc. Well I got a bit cheesed off with his
constant harping on so I sent him this:-
ROT - Cable TV cables24 Oct 2004 11:57 GMT4
We haven't had a ROT thread for a while, so here's one.
When the muppet (sorry, highly-trained engineer) came to fit my cable
TV he decided that the ideal cable to connect the box to the modem
that was 6 feet away would be to use a 300 foot cable.  The excess is

Guidelines for Living with a Land Rover and a Partner24 Oct 2004 07:34 GMT7
These guidelines may help:-
1. Look confused when she asks you why you need Mud Sliders - explain this
is for safety and not a toy
2. When she discovers you on E-bay late at night looking for parts, assure

Having spent alot of time on the Rangie repairing it from the accident
damage Percy gave me a big reminder today he needs some TLC.
MOT time! Having rushed in the replacement rad, got him running sufficiently
well enough to get to the MOT station...came to two spluttering halts ...
Road Springs23 Oct 2004 23:02 GMT6
Having just replaced the rear springs on my 2a I now have a plan to use part
of the old one for a little experiment and I need to dismantle them and I
have a fue questions.
Is there any "energy" stored in a spring?

Freelander to a Sony unit.  When i get the LR unit out it has a non
