Right! Had it on the road for all of about a day and already not happy with it being standard! I've had to fit an alternator off something like a Metro as the original 16ARC (or what ever it was) packed up. The plus side is it's a 55A jobby and has two terminals on the back marked ...

Can anyone give me some advise i have just fitted a new thermostat to my 1994 300 tdi as it over heated and now the temp gauge does not move and the heater is blowing cold on full heat THANKS

I am thinking of buying a 2002 td5 discovery it is a automatic,and i tow a caravan which weighs 1400 kg. can anyone offer any advice or thoughts they have as i am new to 4x4s. I was also considering a plug in module to enhance performance.

Just got my late 2A SWB thought its first MOT after a complete chassis up rebuild. just! I've put an untested series 3 gearbox in but its whining like a nasty thing in reverse. I rejected another s3 box because when I drove that, it was exactly the same! Through out the forward ...

I' recently purchased a 1995 Discovery I with about 96k miles. As expected, I have had a few problems with "secondary" systems (i.e., not the engine or drivetrain), and have spent quite a few hours under the thing so far. But this is OK, because I am a reasonbly compentent

Not gratuitous abuse... Just thought I'd check the oil in the swivels in the SIII - at the MOT it failed on a bit of play in the swivel pins, so the chap fixed that (took out a shim or ten) and topped up the oil etc.

I'm planning to uprate the brakes on the S2a by fitting a servo. I know the one from the S3 is a good fit but does anyone know if a Defender unit is the same physically? I guess what I need to know is; can I bolt a pedal box and serve from a Defender straight into the S2a?
