90 door switch05 Nov 2004 21:30 GMT8
I'm toying with the idea of putting a switch on the drivers door of my 90 to
operate the interior light. Have new ones got this, if so where is it

THE DISCO PASSED05 Nov 2004 13:10 GMT4
Wandered along to the MOT place today. I need to add I have spent ?3000 on
my Kreg 7 seater disco 2.5 TDI in the last three years with the average MOT
bill coming in at ?650. I bought the vehicle for ?5200. So I have spent a

excess smoke from V8 breather / new engine options?05 Nov 2004 06:56 GMT1
My 1984 110V8 with 105k on the clock has always been a bit "tappety"
and recently it backfired on the motorway at 70mph.  Since then it's
been a bit lumpy (not sure it's firing on all cylinders).  I changed
the plugs - one was a bit wide gapped, with a worn electrode, and when
Brakes wont bleed04 Nov 2004 23:09 GMT17
Any ideas why the brakes on a SeriesII Land Rover wont bleed? I don't own
one (yet) but I've spent the best part of half an hour pumping a brake
pedal on a friend's Land Rover while he operated the bleed nipples, all
without any improvement in pedal travel.

Is there anyway (without stripping it all down) whether my 1992 ABS
Range Rover has 10 or 24 spline CV joints fitted inside the front
swivels?
One of them is making a bit of noise on lock, but I don't really want

It should have been here today, but, because I am buying the pauper pack SE

changing to a 200 or 300 Tdi?
Fuel system etc?
Likely costs of a reasonable engine etc?

Con Man Warning04 Nov 2004 03:44 GMT16
If anyone out there in Landy Land find Land Rover or Range Rover parts for
sale in North Wales please beware.
There is a guy just outside Conwy who has about 20 Landys that he sells
parts off but the part you buy is never the part you get.  He had many

That 101 Vampire Austin spotted in the last Witham auction went for
5500. Quite a bit less than forecast iirc. I didn't save the list
of lot descriptions so that's the only one I can match up. Did
anyone keep a copy?
