I've heard of machineing being done to the cylinder head of a petrol engine which improves performance and/or economy. Is there a similar thing can be done with a diesel engine with the head?

I have just taken delivery of my new pride and joy. A 94 V8 Disco ES. Fantastic wagon it is. Easy to drive, comfortable, big enough for the bratz and a months shopping. Better still I may find it harder to get stuck in the mud than the old Vitara.

Need a right hand sun visor in tan leather for a 95 discovery. Any body got one that looks good and works in a wreck or they replaced for some reason other than it was hard to turn and falling apart?

We went away for the weekend, to do a navigation event. When we got there I had to change the battery - took over an hour :( One hour into the first roadbook and the autobox suddenly shifts to 1st. Oh dear. A quick check in the rear view shows smoke - lots of it. Slam on

My son-in-law has a V6 X reg. Discovery. It has an intermitttant starting problem. The fuse box has been replaced, but the car still fails to start some times. Ity sounds like a loose wire to me. Is this a known fault, in which case can anyone suggest where it might be ...
