RRC Auto box problem?10 Dec 2004 20:23 GMT3
I have a Range Rover 3.5EFI 1986 auto mainly used for offroading.
I think I have a gearbox problem, the car seems very sluggish and seems to
change from 1st to top and miss out the middle stages. A real shove will
make it kick back down to 1st.

Transfer case whine - 96 Auto Disco I 10 Dec 2004 04:27 GMT52
I believe I have a classic case of transmission whine.  No sound at idle,
nothing more than I would expect on a D-R clunk, no driveline lash, but when
under power and driving a whining sound can be heard from the transmission
tunnel/passenger area. The whining is directly related ...
Diesel to Gearbox fitting problem10 Dec 2004 00:15 GMT5
O.K., finally got around to fitting a Peugeot XD2 diesel engine into a 109

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a web site that explains
how an overdrive unit works with the transfer case. I am having trouble
understanding how switching one extra gear in or out of the transfer
box (say an LT230) alters the ratios.
Shed clearout - V8 going spare09 Dec 2004 17:34 GMT2
I've got an old Rover P6 (1974 - Manual) V8 engine which is free to a good
home.
It was a good quiet runner when it came out about 5 years ago and gave good
oil pressure with no smoke and all the spark plugs ran clean. It was removed
