Just had my '91 Disco back from its MOT.
All fine apart from an advisory that the rear axle was rusted and had become
porous.
On closer inspection there does seem to be a small amout of oil on the

I'm looking at getting some LED bulbs for the Land Rover.
Some for the instruments and also front sidelights and stop/tail.
can anyone tell me the 'code' for the different bulbs?
I think the stop/tail is called 380?

I'm toying with errecting an rsj frame in the garage for engine and Body
transplants when the time comes. Any pointers as to where to get these RSJ's
without costs incurred in minor ship building?

Hey everyone.  My girlfriend has a '95 Disco w/ the 3.9L V8.  It's been
quite a long time since she's had the tranny oil(s) changed; actually
she doesn't even know the last time they were changed.  The car used to
belong to her father, and she bought it from him about three years ...

I know this is OT, but does anybody know of any problems with
attempting to recieve Sky Satellite Digital transmissions in France.
Surely it's just a case of aligning the dish correctly, or would it
require a bigger dish than those small digtal dishes?

Yes I've been camera'ed for 36 in a 30, I reckon i shoud get a medal for it,
old smeely only gets upto 50 on a fair down hill stretch and this was
uphill.

I own an '03 Disco II.  How does one switch the digital climate control
settings from Celsius to Fahrenheit?  I've tried every combination of button
on the climate control device, but I can't get them to change.  I would
consult the Owner's Manual, but my Disco didn't come with one. ...

In the last 2 days, my 110 started pulling under braking.
The front offside brake disk is coated in what looks like EP90.
The outside of the disk is clean, just the inside is contaminated.
Theres a nice glob of oil hanging from the bottom of the caliper.

Not sure if I've asked this before but.......
Have got a slow puncture front drivers side on the RRC (with alloy wheels).
The previous owner appears to have tried to remove the wheel nuts using a
pair of mole grips.  One nut is totally rounded off.  Any hints or tips on

I've got a speedo/trip both of which I suspect as being wrong, but not
by the same amount. Can anybody tell me exactly how far apart those
little blue/white marker posts are on the Motorway? I know they're
numbered, but I need to know the distance so I can check this.

Can anyone tell me about the power connections to a heated windscreen on a
TD5 Defender. There are three, is it one +ve at the centre and two earths
each side or vice versa..two +ve's, one each side and a central earth
connector??
