I recently read (I think it was in an article on the Difflock site on
driving in winter, but I can't find it now) that if one wheel loses grip
while descending a hill using engine braking with the diffs unlocked, the
vehicle can run away.

anyone use one of these in an R R  ,maybe with auto box ? also good source for
engine..........or maybe a 4.2 Nissan?   .........regards David

Anyone know if it is possible to get the digital clock out of its fixing to
change the bulb without having to remove panel + heater controls etc.

the seals between the reservoir and the master cylinder are leaking,
it's only a drip but it'll empty itself at least daily.
Can I take the reservoir off and re-seal it using some sillycone or
similar? or will the hydrolic fluid feck-it?

Got my Disco back today after sorting the overheating and problems. The
garage reckon my kingpins need sorting on the steering - what are they and
can I sort it myself?

I just purchased my first '99 Discovery and can't seem to open the
right side rear door. At first I thought it might be just the child
locks but it doesn't open from the outside either. Any help would be

I'm having problems getting a project car to run right. It starts & runs
okay on the choke but after a couple of minutes, it suddenly runs real rough
and then dies.  During this two minutes I'm backing off the choke trying to
avoid an over rich mixture. The plugs are pretty black ...

I am thinking of getting a Landrover Discovery. Test drove a few and
love the way they handle. Need something to pull my boat and haul
gear. Any advice on which years are preferred. It would not be used as
a daily driver.
