To start with, except for the basics I know next to naff all about diesel
engines so please be gentle with me. I have a '95 RR P38A 2.5 DSE (BMW
straight 6) with 145K+ on the clock which starts great from cold, even very
cold, but in the last year has become worse and worse at ...

The only adviser note was on my Manual Steering Box has a minor leak.

I have just fitted a new cam belt to my 1988 Defender 90, 2.5 TD, I
took great care in getting it to top dead centre, used correct tool to
pin fuel pump, but could not locate the "Alleged" flywheel locking
point, and therefore could lock in top dead centre. Therefore, I

I have a RRC 3.9 '91 Auto and replaced the alternator about 6 months ago
with a recon unit.
Just over the past few days the charge warning light is taking longer to go

The Volvo is ready for new front tyres.  The OEM pirellis managed 11K,
the Michelins that followed them have gone 24K which is good value for
the extra five quid they cost.  They were also lots quieter.
Now, I can buy the Michelins for about £110 online or at the local
