New Defender rumours31 Mar 2005 22:37 GMT15
I was just wondering if anyone here has heard any rumours about the proposed
new defender. Particularly I'm interested if there has been any talk of what
wheel bases it might be produced in, and whether it will be available in
single and crew cab pickup versions.
PDA and heated screen31 Mar 2005 21:57 GMT8
Would a PDA, with GPS fitted, work from within my disco because of the
heated screen?

Land Rover Mags No sexy women31 Mar 2005 20:30 GMT13
Just a thought I had today when reading a car mag.
If a half naked dolly bird draped over a Jag attracts buyers why not Land
rovers. All we get in Landy mags is ugly brutes in wellies...
Why do they only do articles on Bear belly Baz from Barnsley with his
Knocking when wet31 Mar 2005 19:42 GMT4
I have a 1994 300 disco tdi.
When we get rain, it knocks underneath. Normally on braking or
cornering/body roll. It doesn't do it in the dry, only when it rains
for a day or two.
Rear diff filler plug31 Mar 2005 19:24 GMT2
On a S3, what size is it as it's in my works car park with no oil in the diff.
I'm gonna fill it up & bring it home to swap the leaking axle casing over. It's not pissing out, just a
nice steady drip. I reckon it will be OK for 6 or 7 miles to get it home.

v8 into a Series 3 does go...But31 Mar 2005 18:28 GMT6
Just fitted a Rover V8 into a series 3, taken from a series IIa donor.  The
conversion generally went well, taking note of areas of the IIa conversion
that could have been done better.

DS Brake caliper saga31 Mar 2005 15:08 GMT5
Rear RH caliper outer piston does not apply same pressure as inner piston
resulting in vehicle pulling to left on braking. Inside of caliper cylinder
and sides of old piston showed no signs of wear to me on examination though
outer piston was a "tight fit"(this was original problem ...
Thanks31 Mar 2005 08:55 GMT5
Hi all, thanks for all the replies telling me that it was the spigot
bush that had gone on the clutch; spot on. Now I need to know how to
remove the centre trims (side of driver) so I can root the coax for my
amateur radio antennas.
Where to find 4.0 Disco 2, dual fire spark plugs NGK BKR5EKPB31 Mar 2005 08:49 GMT3
I just returned from my local Landy dealer who could not supply me
with replacement plugs (dual fire) for my Disco. Instead they carry
single fire Champion @ $16.00 canadian! Ouch!!!
There was some debate at the parts counter regarding the need for dual
Conductivity Sensor??31 Mar 2005 06:14 GMT5
Having Just had to rebuild my Disco 300Tdi for the second time in 6months
due to loss of water, I am now rather keen to find a conductivity sensor
that can be fitted to the header tank and provide a warning when the level
drops.
Landrovers in Euro Disney30 Mar 2005 23:33 GMT14
Very surprised to see a total lack of French Landrovers. In 500 miles of
French auto route I did not pass a single French Landrover. Infact only
I only passed 4 French registered 4X4  two Terranos a Vitara and a
Hummer !
93 Range Rover LWB County30 Mar 2005 23:01 GMT5
I have two questions and I ask here first while I wait for my manuals
to get to me.  I purchased the Classic about a month and a half go and
my check engine light just came on.  I got underneath it and found
fluid leaking from the front driver's section of the engine
Recovery points30 Mar 2005 22:20 GMT6
All,
Is it indeed safe to use the towing eyes as recovery points (as was
suggested by the guy who sold the def to me)?
Any better solution?
OT - GPS navigation30 Mar 2005 21:31 GMT9
I know this is OT, but there are quite a few GPS users here so thought
I'd ask...
I want a portable in-vehicle dedicated navigation system, along the
lines of StreetPilot, TomTom Go.  I emphatically don't want a
