Stolen Landy Parts12 Mar 2005 16:51 GMT4
If anyone out there in Landy Land find Land Rover or Range Rover parts for
sale in North Wales please beware.
There is a guy just outside Conwy who has about 20 Landys that he sells
parts off but the part you buy is never the part you get.
brush/roller painting question (ref Steven Hull probably!!)12 Mar 2005 15:46 GMT3
I gloss-rollered my Range Rover and it came out quite good (very cheap
paint, very cold and damp weather. all done outside, miracle!!)
Two years later I'm about to redo using Tekaloid.
Has anyone had experience using Tekaloid and Owatrol (aka Flowrite,
K N Filters ?12 Mar 2005 15:00 GMT5
Wondered whether KN filters would be worth putting into 300 Tdi 110 CSW

my wife keeps getting a little static zap from the door when she gets
out, I think it may be just that door or maybe it's because she
usually gets out before me (shame that heheheh).. ahem. anyway,
assuming it's just the door I imagine it's a case of making sure it's

Buying a discovery12 Mar 2005 08:54 GMT1
Looking at buying a discovery, the budget is ?4500 max so looking at between
8-10 years old. Do all mk1 disco's have the gearbox problem which i have
been reading about? if so looking at vehicles of this age if they have the
original box fitted would be best to avoid them?  Do ...
wide wheels12 Mar 2005 08:47 GMT4
I may have a set of wide wheels available, with mud tyres, which I think
are General Tyre kit. I'm not sure quite how wide yet, but thought it
may be worth asking if anyone was interested in buying/bartering for them?

Rebuilding Calipers12 Mar 2005 08:35 GMT6
Think I have a sticky piston in one of my calipers.
Paddocks do rebuilt calipers for £55, not a disaster, but also sell
pistons and seals for approx £12 per caliper.
There can't be very much to a caliper (!?!), how feasible is it to do
Head Gasket ?12 Mar 2005 00:43 GMT3
Checked the water today and it was a little low again, it was last topped up
at Christmas.
Also checked the oil and the dipstick was covered in brown sludge.
I presume the Head Gasket is on its way out, though so far there has been no
Paint options11 Mar 2005 18:55 GMT7
I've just bought a Series 3 hardtop (circa 1984 on an A plate) and want to
repaint the exterior and loadbay. The bodywork is pretty good, but I bought
it from a dealer, who used it as a runabout, and sign painted the hardtop
panels and rear door with his livery. Would I be right in ...

WTB:Range Rover P38 or Discovery 211 Mar 2005 18:06 GMT8
The only colour (it's for the wife!) that's a no-no is any red or purple
type metallic or solid.
If anyone has anything in great condition, let me know.
Even if you're a trader etc. I'm in Bradford/Leeds btw.

Any problems with this size of tyres on my standard 1985 90, apart from
maybe rubbing on locks?
