I have not had my ninety off the driveway since Christmas. The Licence (tax) expired 31st January. I totally forgot about it until this morning when a neighbour pointed it out (jokingly). I went to the post office and had to produce my V5 as the licence

I have a big birthday coming up soon and am thinking of purchasing a 110 xs, Defender. I was looking for advice on this purchase...does anyone have any comments please..also is the extra money worth it over an ordinary County. Regards

My 'other' tank hasn't been used for a long time. It has rust scales and a strange pale reddish/an deposit from evaporating petrol. By my reckoning I need to buy a good 30 quids worth of acid, metal ready

Hi all, Previous to my thread on manuals. Where can I obtain a hardback workshop manual for a TD5 (51 PLate) Many thanks to bananrama for the pointer on rave's but not exactly what im looking for. Seems you can't get em for vehicles under five years old d:-(

I don't have a radio in Marge at the moment, so took a VHF portable with me on the front seat yesterday afternoon for the Archers (crucial). I was very surprised by the 'ignition' interference when I started the engine - she's a 2.5TD!

Seems to be the merest hint of rust after 7 years now. I was going to wire brush it down and then Kurerust it followed by Hammerite. Is this a good idea or will I be brushing off some protective layer ?? John H

I'm fairly certain that this is what has gone wrong, as there is oil everywhere rear of the transfer box, apparently flung there by the handbrake drum. What I can't see is how to change it. I've tried the Haynes manual, but

Got in the RRC this morning and noticed that there is approx 50-100mm of movement on the peddle before it feels like it's is moving the clutch. Checked the fluid level and it was virtually empty. Hopefull this is why it's been getting difficult to engage gears over the last few ...

the transfer box on my defender is leaking oil through the handbrake drum, and when driving there is a noise when using any amount of acceleration. Only seems to do it in forward gears? I presume a seal has gone, if not worse?
