Since a long ago I have been with the question of the Gas types. What makes the difference between the standard, premium and super gasolines? Why some engines require an specific type, does it affect a different altitude (different than sea level)?

I have a 99 disco2 with sls,for some reason after a journey the sls dumps the air for no reason,the journey can be any length and this happens 1 in every 10 journeys the outher 9 occations the sls remains fine. Any ideas?

fuel pump, the kind that's inside the tank. It still runs, but slowly, and as a result it won;t do more'n about 15 mph. Luckily, the vehicle has gas as well :-) I assume I'm right in thinking that the only cure for this is to replace it,
