200 Tdi Steering Problems25 Mar 2005 20:26 GMT3
This relates to a 3 door, 1993 diesel discovery 200Tdi
In the last few days the steering has become very stiff and won't
naturally centre.  This leads to difficulties cornering and a tendency
to over correct.
SIII Points confusion (novice)25 Mar 2005 09:28 GMT2
Just tried changing the points on my SIII 21/4.
The vertical post on the base plate has a pillar about 5mm tall onto which
the 'moving' side of the points is supposed to fit (the other end going to
where the condensor/LT leads fit).  When I do this they keep jumping off.
Galvanised capping25 Mar 2005 08:21 GMT6
Anyone have any ideas about restoring the galvanised capping which joins the
body panels on my Series III 88"? Have sourced the Bronze Green and
Limestone gloss and some etching primer for the body panels, but the
galvanised strips are a bit grotty. Any tips gratefully received

LT77 gearbox leak24 Mar 2005 22:16 GMT1
I have found the source of the river that flows from my gearbox. If you look
up past the High/low selector pushrod towards to front of the main gearbox
lookings backwards (Still there or confused?). There is what appears to be a
large (25MMish dia) blanking plug with what maybe ...
Summat to make the car paint shine?24 Mar 2005 19:26 GMT11
Got my eye on a very tidy car, it's metallic green, but the 'shine' has gone from the paintwork. Is there
a product that can take the dullness away? I reckon it's been through a bad carwash myself. Shame really,
but a good bargaining point if you know what I mean?
The rest of the ...

Life of Petrol?24 Mar 2005 00:43 GMT25
Here's an interesting one.  I'd always thought petrol to have a shelf
life of 3 maybe 4 years max.  I have an old jerry can with some
unleaded from 1996 (chalk mark) which I usually use for cleaning stuph
with.

Lazy indicator switch23 Mar 2005 14:31 GMT7
All,
When I bought my 110 CSW, the indicator switch was not holding its position
when indicating to the right (jumping out on its own, and always when
turning the steering wheel to the right (not just on the way back)).  I
the V8 option23 Mar 2005 14:09 GMT41

impending purchase which will be a discovery with a budget of around
£5k.
she mentioned the word V8.
Disco I seat cushion23 Mar 2005 13:25 GMT1
Anyone got one, in decent nick?
I'm only after the foam and only the base part (squab) of the seat.  don't
need the cover.
I'm after the driver's side, but I suspect that the 2 front ones are both
