Hi guys and gals,
Can anyone give a petrol tank from a 300series Discovery a good home? It
came off my V8 when I had the LPG conversion done and has been sitting
(hiding?) in the back garden until SWMBO found it last weekend. There's

Ive just ordered a new downpipe for my 1992 200tdi 90 and discovered
that it *should* have 2 heat shields on it, one (NTC4833) which goes
over the turbo and most of the way down the down pipe between the
exhaust and the bulkhead and the other somwhere towards the end of the

Disco (300) has just returned from a 4000 miler, which took us actually into
the Sahara - making for some proper Landie photo opportunities, until the
point where my camera packed up with sand ;(

Well, I queried the bill for gearbox-swapping...
to recap, the work they did:
1) remove disco box and transfer box as unit.
2) remove gear levers from disco box

WANTED.......no, not the dog......a new roof lining (front section around
sun roof ) for a 1998 110 CSW.

I'm giving serious thought to buying a disco, budget £5k, must have 5
doors, 7 seats would be nice, Tdi engine.

Rang Landranger today, in replacing the sills I noted one of the outriggers
had a couple of perforations... at least after a good clean and prod it did
anyway.
In my efforts to keep the truck top spec I called for a new rear outrigger

Some years ago I fitted halogens to my 110, they were fantastic. I recently
replaced them for a new set as the reflectors were corroded and wouldn't
pass the MOT, now they are bloody crap just like the original sealed beams!
(Yes, the volts are ok as are all connections) I can't ...

When should I use gasket sealer (red hermetite)?
I have always used it religiously on every paper gasket. But I have also
been told to smear grease on paper gaskets. Or nothing at all.
What do you put on cork gaskets (for tappet covers)?

I want to give my Range Rover a 2" body lift what else is required to do
this other than the 10 spacers.
It's Auto so the shifter will move
I will have to extend the high low lever.

It's LHD, tilt is almost scrap, four almost new 900x16 spare new, not run
for a long time, new brake servo fitted, nasty colour but it's all there and
very sound, log book needs applying for, N reg ??????
Don't know what to ask !!!! Thought about ?750.00 what do you think ???????
