Following responses from my first post, I marched off to my Landrover Franchise and questioned why I am getting consistantly 350-370 km's out of a tank of fuel, this equates to around 20 litres per 100 km. Information is I should be using around 15 litres per 100 km's.

Looks like I am going to have to replace the petrol tank on my 90 2.5 petrol as it seeping fuel since I filled right up recently. Checked under seat and it's not coming from anywhere on top so must be coming through the seams. Difficult job?

Hi Gang. Just quick bit of info needed. I was just going to check a Vacuum pump on my 2286cc diesel engine. In Haynes it mentions to use sae 15/50w. I cannot seem to find this oil is there an alternative.

More questions from me. I bought a bush kit for my 1985 RRC and have replaced all the rear bushes and springs. The bushes are the standard rubber and steel ones. My method is to replace all the bushes, reassemble the suspension

My 1995 Defender 300tdi has a leaking injector. After driving for a short while I can see where the fuel has run down the cylinder head from the injector. The splash pipes are tight and dry. The mounting is tight and the high pressure pipe is tight and dry. It seems to be from ...

Hello peeps, just wondering if any of you lot have come up with a reasonably easy method of avoiding the fag of having to get out of the truck, push the wing mirrors in before pushing through some vegetation, then getting back out to reset the mirrors before hitting

I recently got a drip on my foot and took out and overhauled my master cylinder for the clutch. When I bled the slave I noted that the cylinder was installed with the bleed nipple at the bottom of the cylinder i.e. below the incoming pipe.

Sunday morning laning spoilt my the dodgy electrics again. The old SIII diesel will sit with the ignition on (charge light and oil presser lights lit), but any attempt to load the battery kills the electrics and all dash lights go out. The electrics "recovers" back to ignition-on

I have the chance to buy an excellant Disco TD5 - 4 years old - but it only has 5 seats. I need 7 seats. Is it possible to fit the two boot seats into a 5 seater and if it is - how much hassle is it? I would get the new seats from a scrappies. I know there are plenty of 7

Right, I've finally got around to doing the sills on the Drivers side now. I've removed the old and placed the new ready for welding up tomorrow. Hardest bit was the blasted chassis to body bolts and also the running board bolts which had rusted up a treat.

Wife came home from shopping - not amused had to pile it on back seat as rear door won't open. Tried locking/unlocking and also from inside of car and still won't open. Any ideas? Disco 300 Tdi 1998. Cheers
