Fuel Gauge26 Apr 2005 09:07 GMT4
Mine seems to register properly between full and half full but is then
erratic with the needle sometimes flopping between half full and empty but
not flashing the warning light
Is this likely to be a faulty gauge or the sender ?

2.25 Petrol 3brg/5brg - Identify?25 Apr 2005 21:39 GMT6
Anyone tell me how to identify a 3brg and a 5brg 2.25 petrol lump? Is
there a way to tell from the outside, or do I have to check the engine
number  and look it up somewhere?
TIA
Sunroof not set25 Apr 2005 20:35 GMT1
Stupid question of the week. . .
"Sunroof not set"???
I have tried following the manual with no success and even tried
giving it a little longer at each extreme as suggested on one of the
Radio Cassette wiring25 Apr 2005 20:25 GMT1
Hi, I have a Land Rover Radio Cassette head unit (marked up
22DC597/60-L-Version) which I (stupidly) thought would be a nice easy swap
with my existing broken AudioLine unit in my Defender.  However, on removing
the AudioLine, it seems to be simply joined by a terminal block (around ...
Ticking 5th gear (when disengaging)25 Apr 2005 16:56 GMT5
All,
When I disengage the 5th gear, I can hear a single "tick" noise.  This is on
a 110 TD5.  It only happens from the 5th gear, when the stick goes from
facing the 5th gear (between 5th and reverse) back to middle position:
101 Questions25 Apr 2005 14:38 GMT33
Well, I haven't even picked it up, and i am thinking of stuff i want to do
with it.
First one is fit seatbelts to the rear bench seats.   Is it possible?   Kits
out there somewhere in military spares world?
Paddocks!25 Apr 2005 13:29 GMT8
Placed an order last week for new ignition bits.  No panic, so didn't
really look out for it.  Yesterday noticed that I haven't had an email
confirmation of the order.  No money gone out of the bank either, so I
suppose their computer has 'lost it'.
SERIES PARABOLICS25 Apr 2005 07:36 GMT2
Hiya,
considering buying a set of paras for my series, and was looking at,
i think they are called TIC parabolics, and paddocks ones, but the
price difference is vast,
Plunger thingy under steering column24 Apr 2005 21:27 GMT4
Hello all, I have been fitting reversing sensors and a Nokia handsfree kit
to the 96 V8i Disco today and found a  "plunger" with two wires connected to
it and a rubber pipe -  like all blokes do I have pressed it to see what it
does and nothing running or not - just curious as to ...
300tdi clutch slave24 Apr 2005 11:08 GMT2
Help!!!
After a successful day replacing the timing belt on my defender 300tdi I
decided to round it off by replacing the marginally leaky clutch slave
cylinder - what a mistake.
Problem with 90 windscreen wipers..23 Apr 2005 23:46 GMT8
Every 10 or so wipes my wipers will go a few extra inches and hit the top of
the bulkhead.  It's not regular as clockwork, just every dozen wipes or so,
the rest of the time the wipers cover the normal arc.  Does anyone know why
this is happening and how I can stop it happening?  ...
Good news & bad news!23 Apr 2005 21:05 GMT20
Bad news, had to sell Albert today to make some space & to be honest I really want (NEED) a 110 CSW to be
my next project.
Good news, I sold it for £1400! I only paid £850 for it & all I have done is get the rear axle welded up
& tested for 12 months!
2.25 petrol won't start23 Apr 2005 19:30 GMT18
Further to t'other thread, progress is being made...
Engine now turns over quite spritely but won't fire.  I have a spark,
albeit not the strongest ever seen, but definitely a regular spark.
Disconnected the fuel at the carb and it's delivering plenty when
Wheel-arch "spats"/"extensions" for Lightweight23 Apr 2005 17:26 GMT3
I know Simmonites sell wheel arch "spats" for the Lightweight Land
Rover, extensions as for the Defender models to allow slightly wider
tyres.
