I'm considering buying a Defender 90, but I have no experience with Land
Rovers (just Jeeps).  Since I'm in Texas, it seems the only option  to buy
an over-priced used one from the mid-90s :(.  Anyway, given that, I do have

Hi all, my first post in this forum.
Just got my first landie (Freelander 2003), was wondering if anyone
knows the pin-outs from the available plug under the passenger seat,
which comes from the standard Visteon Radio-CD fitted in the car.

My 1987 90 has been leaking oil from the rear axle ends and when I
previously asked this question it was suggested it was the outer oil seal
that had gone probably due to pressure build-up inside the axle caused by a
blocked breather.

Having left my '84 series III hardtop on the front drive for about 4 weeks
while I stripped and painted the loadbay, replaced the seats, seatbelts etc,
I have today tried to get her going for a trip out tomorrow with the

Soon going to have to replace the tyres on my TD4.
Quite a bit of major A roads and motorway, but also a reasonable amount of
rough lanes and minor off road stuff.  Averaging 1500 miles a month.

It's taken a couple of days to get time but....
First off, all the slave cylinders are much of a muchness, except
for what I call the ears (flange LR call them).
