Paint30 Jun 2005 22:56 GMT11
Please can anyone recommend a mail order source for LandRover standard
colours (limestone white in my case). Cellulose preferred but can also mess
about with two pack if I have to.
Paddocks told me they cannot supply LR colours because they are copyright.
Disco special tools30 Jun 2005 19:01 GMT4
Just went to change water pump gasket on my Ser 11 disco V8.
Part of the proceedure is to remove the viscous fan which I was aware of
but didn't realise I need 2 special tools to do it.
I can see in my manual that one is to loosen the nut but can't tell what
Grizzly Claws30 Jun 2005 18:41 GMT3
Hi, Has anyone had experience of these?  I'm particularly interested in how
they handle on road, whether they are noisy and how many miles they last.
                                                    Cheers, John
Bit of advice please...30 Jun 2005 07:33 GMT19
I have a 1.5 ton mini-digger that I would like to transport very
occasionally.  I have a Nissan Cabstar 3 litre turbo pick-up truck that I
was going to use for towing it, but have been told by a friend that I would
be better off legally to use my 2 litre diesel Freelander.
Big trailer30 Jun 2005 07:31 GMT6
Anyone interested in a big trailer?
load bed 14'8" x 6'8" (from memory, but easy enough to check), bed lowers to
floor at back to load, pump it up again by a hydraulic pump which is not
original but does work.  It's big enough to carry a 110 or a disco, and the
Disco Questions30 Jun 2005 05:37 GMT8
Just picked up the Disco, so far very impressed.  Some more questions i'm
afraid.
When i lock the drivers door with key (No fob) the hazards flash 3 times.
When i unlock they flash once.  I'm assuming the x3  means imobiliser/alarm
Headlights29 Jun 2005 23:14 GMT16
I have just had fun replacing my Headlights with knacker
rusting screws to boot.:( My old ones were 60/55w for sealed version
75/50w. Question is do I need to change any fuses to cope. As I notice
headlamps on full beam on enginge idle dipping.
Defender wheels and tyres.29 Jun 2005 22:41 GMT7
I now have my Defender 90 which came with the original white steel wheels
and tyres. All the wheels are in good condition with no rust and the tyres
are pretty good too, none being near the legal limit yet. The spare
unfortunately is flat but I am told it only needs a valve.
3/4 ton Sankey trailer29 Jun 2005 21:41 GMT1
Does any one know where I can find parts for sankey trailer?
Bike Rack for Disco II?29 Jun 2005 21:39 GMT3
Can anyone recommend a bike rack that works well with a Disco II?
Any potential problems with using the rear tire for the bike rack to attach
onto?
Cheers,
Shocks29 Jun 2005 21:23 GMT5
All,
I think my defender 110 needs new shocks (the wheels tend to bounce a
lot when I drive fast (!) on bumps created, e.g., by manhole covers, or
the like).

3.9 overheating still29 Jun 2005 19:12 GMT6
My 3.9 is still overheating a bit.  I've tried unblocking the radiator
(without removing it, so probably a waste of time), I've replaced the
pressure cap as the other one used to hiss. One thing I have noticed that
since refilling the system, the heaters blow out cold when the ...
Difference in NAS vs Others29 Jun 2005 17:13 GMT2
Are there significant differences in the "non-critical" parts specs of NAS
Defenders vs Others (non-NAS). I've got a '93 NAS 110 and I'm growing tired
of waiting for speaker replacements to come into the states (along with
other non-critical, but nonetheless annoying, parts that ...
