Strange wiper problem - Defender 11003 Jun 2005 15:37 GMT10
I have a really strange windscreen wiper problem on my Defender 110
(1992 - 200tdi).
Occasionaly and intermittently, the front wipers will just come on,
they do it in only the following circumstances:-

Fupping rabbits, why do they leap out 10' in front of you?  Had one do

OK, I've bought some wing top chequer plate. Read the HBOL (useless)...
The chequer plate needs to be bolted through the wing to fit it. How do
I get at the inside of the wings to do this?
I'm guessing I need to remove the inner wing somehow, but thats about

Just about to take delivery of a new Freelander TDI 4X4 (3 door.)
Couple of questions required if possible about the fitting of a tow-bar.

Hi i have a TD4 freelander and when i press the brakes the TC/orange HDC
light comes on when i touch the brakes a bit later they go off. Has been

   can anyone tell me how easy it is to fit power steering to a series3
using parts from a 90 or something else.
i know chris perfect do a kit but it is rather expensive and i have been
told that they are not particularly good.

Bloody Traffic Regulation Orders.  One of our favourite short green lane
tracks has been closed off due to Fly-Tippers.  Bloody buggering buggers,

Does anyone know what description what category write off cars refer to?
I've just a cat D write off that doesnt look too bad or is there something

Spare wheel on back door has ripped it to shreds (they're better off on the
bonnet IMHO)

i have a 2.6 litre 6 cylinder series 3, and glossing over an old brochure i
just recieved i noticed this line "Alternator: 15 ACR."
Am i right in thinking that this means it is a 15 amp alternator?? now in

I've just become owner of a L reg 200 Tdi Disco. Mechanically it's
perfect except for one annoying trait. At speeds above about 40 mph you
get a "speed wobble" where the steering wheel starts shaking from side
to side at great speed.

my light switch on rhe steering consol is melting.
That mains that I can't switch my lights to normal driving lights.
But I have heard of a modification for this problem.

1 X FRC3907 - Half Shaft - Front LH 24 Spline - 88 and 109 from 1980 onward
OR
1 X AEU1827 - STUB SHAFT - 24 spline - OCTOBER 1980 ONWARDS

Anyone help?
My new (to me) 300Tdi Disco has a non-functioning cruise control.  I knew
about this at purchase, but thought it would be an easy fix after having the
same problem with the RR.  I have cut back the vacuum pipes where they join
