LR 90 V8 Cooling Drain/Refill29 Jun 2005 17:11 GMT3
I've a 1985 90 V8 and want to drain, flush and refill the cooling system.
I had a look at the weekend but couldn't find the right engine block drain,
buggers at Solihull hid it behind the manifold, so not sure I can properly
drain it down. Also as the heater seems higher than ...
Bushes29 Jun 2005 15:40 GMT1
Just my tuppence worth.
OTTOMH could a Jackall or simlar be utilised as a press, reversing the
head unit, fabricating a block that will bolt to the rack as something
to push against and then using a bit of packing/shimming. I'm sure this
Drive Member replacement29 Jun 2005 13:30 GMT7
I'm currently replacing the drive member(s)?? on the landy (defender 110
300TDi 1998). The reason being the front passenger side one gave up at
the weekend. Great I've got the replacement, removed the bolts, and the
C-Clip and the shims, lots of WD 40, it moves out a bit (1/4 to ...
Misty spotlamps29 Jun 2005 12:24 GMT4
I've just fitted a pair of Wipac 8 inch spotlamps (they have 100w bulbs
fitted as standard).  When I turned them on for the first time I
noticed the inside of the glass lens has somehow misted up so the lamps
now have a foggy appearance.  It's not water vapour so hasn't
Naff Landrovers29 Jun 2005 09:57 GMT57
I was visiting Bell equipment yesterday. These guys make 50ton articulated
dump trucks amongst others, that are badged as either Hitachi, Bell or
Deere. Apparently one went up a close to 1:1 grade with a full load that a
landcruiser couldn't get up. (I know I am sure that a landy ...
How to replace bushes?29 Jun 2005 09:06 GMT9
I've done a quick Google but come up with nothing.
What are the recommended methods of installing new bushes without having
access to a press? Last time, I had two vehicles here and it was a simple
matter to take the bits to a local garage. But now I have just the one.

hard to get. Anyone got one? Opinions? I see a good deal in The Sunday Times
last weekend - http://driving.timesonline.co.uk/section/0,,13349,00.html -

Parabolix28 Jun 2005 21:27 GMT12
If I were to fit parabolix is it advisable to start with replacing the rear
first or ought one really to replace all four at once.
I have a suspicion that the springs at the back are rather tired given the
decided list to port at the rear, my recent additions have been adding some

aluminium corrosion28 Jun 2005 18:08 GMT4
I have removed the body cappings on my 90 to get them galvanised. The ally
underneath is a white and powdery. Whats the best way to treat this before I
put the cappings back on.
Thanks
Write off Disco28 Jun 2005 11:02 GMT22
Hi I had my TD5 written off recently due to the Storms of Jan, two windows
broke and it was exposed to salt water spray for 12 odd Hours.  I have tried
to buy it back as I live on a Scottish island and it would come in useful
for allsorts of things. However my Insurance company ...
