Power steering leak17 Jun 2005 20:53 GMT7
Hi chaps. 4-bolt adwest steering box on my ninety. It leaks consitently from
under the top plate (lid) of the box. I have taken the top off and the seal
seems okay. Problem seems to be getting worse, drip is now a flow! Could
there be too much pressure in the system or just a ...

Has anyone a way to get Microcat running without the dongle?  I have
access to new CD's, and would like to use it, but cannot get by the
dongle.
It's all gone dark.....17 Jun 2005 01:08 GMT8
So there i am trying to sort out a small water leak on the RRC (Note to
self: Do up all hose clips tight when changing hoses) head buried under the
bonnet, when it all goes dark and something is resting across my back.
Fight my way free and discover that the soundproofing stuff on ...
Re. Stolen Landrover16 Jun 2005 21:26 GMT1
Re. the Landrover stolen on Friday I *definitely* got the
registration mark wrong.
It should read FAW179D.  How can I be that far out?, must be the
Altzheimers setting in.  There is a couple of hundred pounds or so offered
CV Joint --- Boom...16 Jun 2005 21:06 GMT7
OK had the Landy 6 weeks... Now I've broken it... (we'll it bust its
self). I think the CV joints gone west up as it still drives when the
Diff Locks in, but obviously no go when its not... Getting it sorted
soon hopefully.
fuel tank recall16 Jun 2005 13:56 GMT38
Just had the petrol tank replaced in our 95 V8 under the recall scheme.
While it was being done they lent us a brand new (well 1700 miles) Discovery
3 TDV6 S. Although it looks awful from certain angles it was superb to
drive - would rather have the V8 though (in my dreams!)

'96 Disco front Diff Oil seal.16 Jun 2005 00:42 GMT5
Our Disco has a weap at least I think its from the diff seal. The rockers
also have a minor weap so it's difficult to tell. With all the gubbins in
the way of rocker gasket replacement  (LPG'd with seperate injection system)
I'm reluctant to do the rocker seal just yet as it's ...
Lift pump on 300 Tdi15 Jun 2005 22:21 GMT1
Guys,
I've got an oil leak on a 94 300 Tdi Disco. After cleaning off the
messy area I've narrowed it down to the lift pump area and is dripping
off the lift pump handle even.
New (to me!) Disco.15 Jun 2005 20:02 GMT1
Well, I've finally gone and done it - bought a Disco to replace my BMW
330dSE, on account of my new caravan being a tad too heavy for stability
behind the BM.  Picked up a 2000 (X) metallic bronze (Kinversand??) 4.0
Disco 2 XS Auto yesterday, warranted 25,000 miles from new. Even ...
Ticking sound from a 300 tdi engine15 Jun 2005 19:57 GMT14
I have a 98 Discovery with a 300 TDi engine in it.  It has 111000 miles
on it and was well serviced by reputable main dealer.  Today having
driven 200 Motorway miles at 60 70ish I noticed that there was a
distinct ticking noise that varied with the engine speed coming from
Stereo mounting in my Defender 9015 Jun 2005 09:17 GMT5
Evening all. Any of you forward thinking visionaries able to assist with a
unique mounting idea for a Single play Stereo/CD player in a defender 90
hardtop with three seats in the front, no cubby. The idea of sticking it
between the two vents doesn't appeal, and before you start, ...
