New Land Rover colours31 Aug 2005 19:49 GMT11
After an hour on the phone begging PPG to give me a new updated colour
directory because my old book is now ten years old they eventually
agreed and I'm happy to report I have since received the directory.
The new colour directory shows for example the "molten orange" paint
Disco II steering damper31 Aug 2005 19:25 GMT2
I want to remove the front under engine panel on my V8 Disco II to try
and trace a coolant leak.
The workshop manual suggests removing the steering damper assembly to
get the panel out - so my question is, is it worth replacing the damper
Stainless Steel Exhausts31 Aug 2005 18:30 GMT32
I need to replace the exhaust on my 1998 Range Rover 4.6 HSE and I want to
fit a stainless steel system.  I've looked at Rimmer Bros and RPI
engineering (amongst others) and all  have highly polished bling boy-racer
style tailpipes.  Does anyone know of a heat resistant black ...
LR Service31 Aug 2005 17:26 GMT5
Hi to all.
Any pointers to a none franchised service agent in and around the
Manchester area for a Disco TD5 Series II (2001) I'm rather loathe to
pay a main agent, but it's the electronic side that I'm more concerned
Defender 200Tdi Inlet Manifold31 Aug 2005 14:12 GMT1
Hi di hi All,
anyone got a Defender 200Tdi Inlet manifold going? LR no longer
make them and I have a customer in Poland with a dead motor - I'd
like to help him out. Reasonable amounts of hard-earned available.
What to buy next - 110 Defender or Range Rover31 Aug 2005 13:04 GMT3
I currently have a 1993 Tdi Disco. I am certian that in the near future
we will find that when we increase the animals (that's dogs not
children!) we won't have enough space in the boot area for all of them.
I also tow a large trailer (for miniature steam engines) and a caravan
Freelander?30 Aug 2005 21:19 GMT24
I'm thinking of buying a Land Rover Freelander, a 2000 modell, but a lot of
people tell me to buy something else like a Honda C-RV or Toyota RAV-4. They
claim that the Freelander is a sh.t car and that I will be very
dissapointed.
Sealing series (and 101) windows ?30 Aug 2005 20:33 GMT3
Anything better than Dum-Dum ? Its a bugger to apply !

Disco 1 Relays30 Aug 2005 14:00 GMT2
At the moment my rear wash/wipe has stopped working.  There is a
suggestion it might be the Relay.  Anyone know where this is?  I have been
told in the passenger footwell but I can't see them

90 2.5TD Smoking Breather30 Aug 2005 13:45 GMT5
I have a 90 TD, i have had this vehicle for about 18 months and it has
always smoked from the rocker breather (into the air filter) but more
recently this is getting worse, smoke now visible from the rocker cover
fixing bolts/holes, and i am now getting oil into the air filter also.
Oh yeah!30 Aug 2005 11:19 GMT1
I'm now gonna buy another Range Rover classic, don't tell the wife!
Seen a decent looking 3.9 for £450 currently! That's the same money as a tow bar for the touareg!!

Freelander Side Steps30 Aug 2005 08:49 GMT2
Does anyone know how easy it is to remove/refit the side steps on a
Freelander? I want to take them off to improve ground clearance on my Sport
TD4 for an off roading session. Looking underneath it seems to be just 4
bolts on each side but I am unsure if there are captive nuts in ...
Crack in a 2,25 head30 Aug 2005 08:49 GMT4
Is it possible to run a 2,25 gas powered hunk of a Land Rover engine so
hot that the cylinder head cracks all the way from front to rear end
without destroying the block?
The question is whether the engine must have been frozen such that the
Langdale Quest Off-Road Site30 Aug 2005 08:13 GMT2
I have just booked a full day session in my own car (Freelander TD4) and
wondered if anyone has been to the site and what they thought of it. Will be
going alone, any tips/advice on the difficulty level of the courses?
