Well, that's another MOT passed with flying colours. ;) '97 Discovery 300 Tdi with 90k ish on the clock now. Just changed, last week 'cos one was pitted and weeping slightly, swivels, seals and oil for grease and the front end's a lot cleaner now .. ;)

Can anyone tell me what the max load capacity is for the rear axle on a 1972 Range Rover. Can this be increased by fitting stiffer springs if so what is the limit of the axle?

Not sure whether that is me or my landie Anyway it is close to *that* time of the year and so she is an MOT failure, apparantly there is sommat up with one of the brake cylinders (well that would explain the uneven braking, pulls to one side and then the next) the

Sorry if this seems a stupid question, but - Are the hubs the same on Discos with alloy and steel wheels? I have alloys on the road wheels but the spare is a steel item. After a puncture in france I managed to hobble the few kilometres to a garage with the alloy

I've just had an idea - it's so obvious it must be wrong! I want to raise the gearing on the S2a to make it a bit easier on the road. Overdrives and high-ratio t-boxes are expensive and I've just spent all my pocket money on a new head and carb.

Just about to get a new back door for my Defender 110 2.5tdi CSW. Anyway can I use the rear door mount on the bonnet or is it a specific bonnet mount. I want to put a jerry can holder on the rear door, which will be lighter and better on the hinges.

Any body who owns a Mantec swing away spare carrier? Mine squeaks so badly when opening and closing... I think the sound comes from that ill designed plastic cylinder rubbing against badly rusted steel casing. I sprayed tons of lubricant but to no avail.
