Defender leaking sunroof - new rubber04 Aug 2005 10:56 GMT2
Before I make an expensive mistake, has anyone gone down this road
before recently?
Marge's sunroof was gummed up with what looks like acrylic bath sealant
when I got her, hiding a split or twenty in the seal round the glass.

My local dealer looked it up on the computer and found a number that its
meant to have.
Ping Austin Shackles/Badger03 Aug 2005 22:59 GMT6
Hi Guys, OT I know on here but I have just had a 3.2 XJ jag converted on a
closed loop single point system (OMVL) system runs fine apart from sometimes
when decelerating , especially braking quite sharply into a corner for
example the revs die to a couple of hundred and then when ...
Free Land 98 Front Bumper Cracked!!!!03 Aug 2005 22:55 GMT1
My lovely wifehas had (not again) a recent incident with a shopping trolley,
cracked the front bumpber but no major damage.
Anyone know a good option apart from a very costy option of front bumper
replacement, have considered plactic welding but may look dodgy???
Disco 11 Cam03 Aug 2005 22:43 GMT1
The ser 11 Disco 4.0 V8i auto is in need of a camshaft, lifters and a
rocker check. It's only done 104,000 Kilometers but is getting very
rattley in the top end.
I have heard that they had premature cam wear so that's why I'm guessing

found the water leak on the 300 TDi.  Thermostat housing - head joint.
Naturally, half the front of the bloody engine has to come off to replace
it, including the bit with the P gasket which has not long been replaced.
buggrem.
Isuzu Trooper diesel engine in Landie S2a?03 Aug 2005 20:29 GMT4
I have a 1966 SWB Stationwagon, in excellent condition - re-built on a
galvanised chassis by the previous owner. In the six years I have had it, it
has given little trouble, and the only real drawback is a Ford V6
conversion, which whilst it gives good power, and makes towing pretty ...
To tweak the fuel pump and add intercooler or not??? Advice needed....03 Aug 2005 11:12 GMT8
Defender 200Tdi
Having advanced the fuel pump (it was quite retarded) and seen the
immediate benefit (and increased diesel kocking noise!) I am left
wondering what more is possible.
Discovery V8 (3.9) LPG conversion...info needed..03 Aug 2005 08:58 GMT10
I've been looking at a 96' 3.9 V8 LPG Discovery with single point
injection to replace my 95 300tdi ES. As I know nothing about the
different type's of LPG conversion, could someone here on the group
inform me of the difference's between multi point/single point and any
200tdi engine for me, lowish mileage?03 Aug 2005 06:56 GMT4
Either a disco or a Defender 200tdi engine, less than say 80k miles, at as
reasonable a price as possible, on a pallet for transport?
I wouldn't necessarily need the gearbox, although I would need as many other
ancillaries as possible.

Disco TD5 Gear Box Problem - a Solution02 Aug 2005 16:47 GMT11
Some time ago I posted a question regarding what I thought might be a fairly
serious synchro-mesh problem with my (then)new disco TD5 .
As an long haul ng user / contributor (but not to this ng),  I was hoping
for some help but what I actually got was bandwidth-consuming drivel ...

Help! Rear Diff Oil Leak Questions02 Aug 2005 01:22 GMT2
My 110 is dumping oil (in Alarming quantities) from the rear diff where
the shaft from the transfer box enters it.
Is this an easy job that can be done with the diff in place and the
drive shaft removed ?
