2.25 Diesel Blowing Oil27 Aug 2005 01:12 GMT18
Hi, Our SIIa 2.25 Diesel (5mb) is blowing oil from the rocker cover cap and
possibly from the rocker cover bolts too. This to me sounds like a bit too
much Crankcase pressure.
What could be the cause of this? and how can I cure it?
another of life's little mysteries solved...26 Aug 2005 21:37 GMT9
the unaccountable lack of turning right which Edward II has been
demonstrating turns out to be that the steering damper fitted is too short -
it was restricting the movement of the steering link from the relay to the
left-hand steering arm.  Removing it and winding the lock stops in ...

Saw this on the side of a LAND ROVER last week
" If you spot a leak please ring 0800......"
Why don't they do like everyone else and park it on the drive.
Now anyone know the address of the Chief Exec of Severn Trent Water

for Landy originals. It's reasonable I  suppose, as the things are
fragile and big and presumably not needed in the same quantities as,
say, brake shoes.
Stroud/Gloucester26 Aug 2005 12:41 GMT4
Hi all, new to the LR scene, have just bought an old 110 CSW in need of
some repair and it seems after searching the Web and Yellow Pages, that
there aren't any LR specialists in the whole of Glocestershire let
alone the Gloucester area! Anybody have any good contacts that they
Inner tubes26 Aug 2005 11:15 GMT4
After winding myself up no end Googling for "inner tubes" and getting
millions of hits but no real info, can anyone recommend where I can
purchase some inner tubes for a 110 (235/85) and also some tubes to
fit the pinkie (9.00 x 16)

LRO Show - Malvern25 Aug 2005 18:55 GMT2
Right, packed, gassed up and about to hit the road.
Anyone else going please feel free to come and say hello at the 101
Club stand.  I'll be (as normal) well chilled, and hiding the stress
of knowing my Sister, Brother-in-Law and their two sprogs will be

Does anyone know where I can get a custom built, upgraded (ie comfortable)

Many thanks to those who have pointed out to me the deficiencies of my NTL
news feed (news.ntlworld.com).
I have taken your advice and subscribed to "news.individual.net" which is
cheap and adequate.
Defender hand brake - the top end this time24 Aug 2005 23:25 GMT1
I've owned most Land Rovers, starting with a series 1. When on the move the
hand brake lever lay obligingly out of the way near the floor. I was young
and slim so it was no problem to reach down. As I grew older the clever
designers anticipated this and perked up the lever on ...
Land Rover Assisstance in Europe (repatriation problems ?? )24 Aug 2005 22:18 GMT4
Anybody ever used this service to repatriate a crippled vehicle from Europe.
Interested to hear experiences.
Apparently to repatriate you need to fill in forms that are either faxed or
e-mailed to you !  Personally we were in a rather rural part of France and

Do any of you guys have any experience in insuring with Lancaster? My Series

covered by Lancasters 'specialist' Land Rover comprehensive cover. I
recently sent off a few photographs to support my Agreed ...
