| Channel 4 news piece on off-roading | 24 Aug 2005 16:43 GMT | 28 |
Has anyone seen today's channel 4 news piece on off-roading? At the end of the programme there was a piece on how off-roading is turning "great swathes" of the Yorkshire Dales into "quagmires" and how the land won't ever recover etc etc, and included bits about how it's

The seal on the rear door handle/rear number plate light on my MY2000 Freelander has started perishing - that's what you get for parking out in the sun all the time! The bit I'm talking about is not where the plastic handle joins onto the

| Discovery Series II Ignition Leads | 23 Aug 2005 20:20 GMT | 3 |
Trying to solve a low revs under load misfire when running on LPG converted Series II discovery - on my previous Series I Discovery a change of ignition leads solved the problem so thought I'd try the same on this one. Trouble is, I can't work out how I can get at the

Time has come to say 'au revoir'... He's sat on the drive ever since the MoT and really needs someone to put him to use. Reality is, it won't be me (at least not in the foreseeable future). So, I'm open to offers. I'd much prefer it to go to someone I 'know',

| 200Tdi Defender - Head Gasket gone... | 23 Aug 2005 18:57 GMT | 34 |
I checked my timing on Friday and all was OK, so left alone. Some time ago now Richard was willing to bet "a cup of tea" that my head gasket would be failing around cylinder No. 4. On Saturday it went about 20miles from anywhere.... Lots of oil vapour

| Steering Wheel Knob | 23 Aug 2005 11:36 GMT | 17 |
Anyone know a good source for steering wheel knobs? You know, the ones truck drivers have. I need one to anchor to the spoke on a wheel ideally, not the rim. The examples i've seen in Halfrauds/TMC etc are all made of shitty materials and look like they'll last about 15
