Well another years passes and our Vicky has come up trumps  (again) I was

Squeaking Air Con Compressor30 Sep 2005 17:01 GMT11
As per title, air con compressor has started to make gently unhappy
noises at idle.
Sounds like something in there is running a little dry.
Now, I consider it the 8th wonder of the world that the aircon on the

Series door tops.  I see you sell furry channel by the length, which is
good.
Do you have or can you get the various bits of aluminium: strip which
retains the front edge of the fixed window, and the pieces that go behind
Disco 3 load liner / cargo barrier problem30 Sep 2005 14:47 GMT3
Does anyone have a Discovery 3 fitted with the cargo barrier & the semi
rigid loadspace protector?  If so does your loadspace protector foul the
brackets of the barrier that attach to the tie down points?
110 Defender diesel starvation and now a water leak!30 Sep 2005 13:16 GMT9
The diesel starvation problem became obvious when I looked under the
car.  There had been a new tank fitted (or the LR label had lasted well
for 15 years under the car!) and the breather pipe was approximately 1"
long and terminated with a screw stuck in the end of it, held in ...
Discovery TD5 Vague Steering30 Sep 2005 11:38 GMT5
The steering on my '03 Disco fells a little vague in the centre position, I
can turn the wheel around 10-15 degrees without any effect on the direction.
Is this normal for the car (just traded from a Freelander) or is it
something that needs attention? Also the nearside headlight ...
S3 front bumper scratched...30 Sep 2005 08:00 GMT16
What on earth are they making these new Audi sports jobbies out of?
Living next to the Sheffield United ground we get a fair amount of
parking on match days (and nights - like tonight, especially tonight).
Some may believe that our little cul-de-sac is hard enough to navigate

TD5 ECU upgrade29 Sep 2005 23:39 GMT1
I have recently bought a 2004 Discovery TD5 auto, and have been reading
various articles where people had mentioned chipping the ECU.  There seem to
be 3 main options, Autologic, Superchips, and Jeremy Fearn.  Has anyone had
experience of these?  I am doing mainly road driving, ...
4.6 V8 Viscous fan coupling29 Sep 2005 18:14 GMT3
Collected my new (to me) 4.6 HSE and there was a 'grumbling' noise coming
from the fan/water pump area.
On inspection I can move the fan which is attached to the viscous coupling
and in turn bolted to the water pump. The whole thing is loose, pulley
Roor rack or roof bars....29 Sep 2005 14:26 GMT6
I need to relocate a 6' wide bed (made up from two 3' single beds and a
6' mattress) about 250 miles.
I don't particulary want to hire a van for this as returning the van is
a pain and, anyhow, I've got a Discovery II - surely this is up to the
