| ROT: Computer milling machines | 09 Oct 2005 15:46 GMT | 6 |
I'm after a milling machine - not high power, more focus accuracy for making shells from coins. The type of thing I'm after will machine out a 2p so I can fit a 10p in it. (This is an example of the accuracy I need, not the actual application...) Erm, if that makes

| Anyone in or near Lincoln? | 09 Oct 2005 05:07 GMT | 3 |
I could do with a proxy-look at a lathe I'm interested in - too far for me to go on spec and too old to buy without at least some indication that it's in good nick. I'll be quizzing the seller but he's not especially savvy about lathes by

Last week my 4.0 litre RR engine completely died on me. It's an R reg and all tied in with the engine block becoming porus (due to Landrover screwing up the way the engine was made) as I have had loads of over heating problems and it was drinking coolant like George Best drinks ...

For project Launch Rover to get my boat in the water I have blagged a set of tyres off a Manitou, but they require the above size rims. Used to own a 101 but can't remember if the rims on those were any larger than normal. Can you get 20" rims to fit Landie hubs, I'm not too ...

I have recently got a 2004 facelift Disco Landmark, which unfortunately has come without either the Owner's Handbook or the radio code. I am trying to get both the code and handbook through my dealer, as until I get the code I can't fit my Discoparts cruise control kit (or if I ...

I have been working on the rear brakes of my 1997 Tdi300 Defender 90. The rear brakes have caliper, not drums, which are seized and will have to be replaced. OK so far. The front brake shoes are held in place with two pins that go through

| Bloody annoying clunk/clonk! | 08 Oct 2005 07:30 GMT | 15 |
I have had an annoying sharp clunk that seems to be from the front passenger side of the 90. I cannot find any loose suspension or steering components. I have recently fitted a complete polybush kit (a fun weekend!) but the noise persists. I was told by more than one person "it's ...

| Cheeky bleedahs... | 07 Oct 2005 23:18 GMT | 3 |
Couple of yoofs outside earlier looking over Grumble as I returned from walking the dog... Lots of 'tight' comments along with 'baad' (which apparently all means 'good'), followed by; "It's an old UPS delivery van, isn't it?"

| TD5 Turbo Noise (not the oil centrifuge) | 07 Oct 2005 20:12 GMT | 5 |
Anyone experienced a squeel from the turbo - occurs most when cold or when pulling (sounds like the fan-belt slipping) I'm told by a Land Rover mechanic that it's the turbo - he then followed with tales of woe should the bearing collapse causing engine damage - or
