How easy is it to replace the control cable for the air direction (car/windscreen) on a series 3? Anyone know if these are still available?

| TD5 Turbo Noise | 04 Oct 2005 20:21 GMT | 7 |
Should I be concerned about a whirring noise that comes from the vicinity of the turbo when I switch off? You can feel the vibration in the gear lever and hear the noise in the cabin (doors & windows shut).

| Discovery Faults | 04 Oct 2005 13:31 GMT | 5 |
A few months ago, I bought a Q-reg LR Disco 2.5 Tdi. I think it's a 1992 model. A great all-rounder, it's already a firm favourite with the family. However, it's got 2 faults which I'm wondering if anyone can shed any light on.

Just taken the rangie in for the re-test and a different guy looked at it. He has only gone and found more things to do! 1 - Front to Rear brakepipes. Can you get these pre-bent? Or is it a case of finding someone local to make them? Are they hard to fit?

| Disco on fire! | 03 Oct 2005 14:29 GMT | 9 |
Went on a guided tour of the NT's Clandon House first thing today. Yes I know that might sound a bit boring, but on parking and getting out of my car I noticed a Disco parked on it's own across the car park and what appeared to be light smoke wafting out from under the bonnet.

Hi all, I'm looking for your wisdom to help me look in the right places... My Disco 300Tdi has, for the last few mornings, been really reluctant to fire. It turns over healthily, although I think there's a slight flickering about the battery light which I've not noticed before - ...
