Not directly aimed at Land Rovers, but as usual we're all tarred with the same brush, I just tuned in today half way through Jeremy Vine's show to catch a 4x4 debate but it was full of the usual broad statements and wild pollution claims with some lady campaigning for congestion

Rangie semi-died last night. A mile down the road after brimming the tank, suddenly losy all power. Would sit and idle perfectly (smooth, no missing) and would start normally, but would just not rev at all, and absolutely no power. I

1. N reg. Disco XS 300TDi - is there a way I can visually check if this has had the cambelt mod that is talked about for this model? 2. Does anybody know of a worthwhile warranty company that will give a warranty on vehicle above?

Well, my cracked front manifolds have been replaced ubder warranty - thank you Mr Collins at Rimmer Brothers. The question now arises as to what is getting soooo hot that it smells like melting rubber.

Bit of long shot being down in the south...but does anyone know a competent 'weekend welder' in the East Herts area who could weld up a patch on my Discovery's inner wing and put a couple of spot welds on my window mechanism which has failed?

Not until I picked up a 1995-M Disco 300TDi!! Checked it out and all seemed well, FSH bit of rust but very minor, drove OK seemed a bargain at £2900. Then........ Seized Diff Lock selector

I am a Brit living in California. Back in the day, I remember a number of blokes had their Rangies converted to LPG. I would like to know if anyone in the grand state of California has attempted to get their Range Rover converted to a LPG or CNG setup.

I have just moved mine down from the roof, onto a bonnet with the depression, however I can already see the disadvantages, in that it does restrict forward vision a little (and these are not fat tires) and it does require you to be a weight lifter to open the bonnet.

Does anyone know why my rear electric windows do not wind down immediately after starting? Sometimes it can take 15 - 20 minutes before the buttons work. I've checked the switches and they're ok. Seems stupid to think that there is some sort
