| TomTom Go 700 useless in a RRC with heated screen! | 28 Nov 2005 23:09 GMT | 15 |
Bugger me, as I'm using the RRC as my full time ride due to work at the moment, I needed to find a specifiic address in Barnsley today & as i approached on the M1 the thing couldn't tri-angulate etc. Is it the heated screen (useful as it it is!) or just the very 'flat' screen ...

| PTO driven superwinch H14 | 28 Nov 2005 22:06 GMT | 1 |
I want to fit this winch which I suspect is ex seeboard or similar, to my 1989 110 CSW V8. The PTO "bit" seems to fit to the gearbox just fine and goes in and out of gear ok. What route should the PTO shaft take?

| Immobiliser problem. | 28 Nov 2005 21:58 GMT | 2 |
Landrover Defender 300Tdi (1998) Immobiliser problem. I am having problems starting the vehicle. Put the key in the ignition, and have to wait a while before the immobiliser will allow me to start the engine. Some times it will take several attempts to get it started. I have

| Wanted:: Advice for first time Disco buyer | 28 Nov 2005 21:36 GMT | 22 |
I'm seriously considering buying a N or M reg. Discovery. I've never owned a Land Rover before, and I don't have any mechanical skills or knowledge. I'd like to know what to look for (that a novice can find) when looking at a Discovery.

| gauges | 28 Nov 2005 21:03 GMT | 2 |
I have a new problem with my fuel and temp gauges, I assume its a voltage regulator problem but as I have already bought 2 this year I thought I should check other ideas before I pay out again. When I first start the engine the gauges read fine (apart from

| Cold TD5 | 28 Nov 2005 15:32 GMT | 4 |
All, My TD5 tends to run cold. While it was not too cold outside, I was accepting the argument that the engine is a big lump so needs time to warm up. Now it's a bit cold, I find

| Bleeding Nipples - is there a gizmo | 28 Nov 2005 01:47 GMT | 13 |
OK - dumb question to start the weekend: Got to bleed the brake system this weekend (1990 110 with rear drums) and I've noticed that the front calliper brake nipple is conveniently hidden between two bolt heads (just to make it impossible to get any sort of swing

A tale of woe...remote fob No 1 showed as low battery on dash display so I used No 2 fob. No2 fob failed yesterday ;leaving me with engine immobilised and EKA 30 miles away at home! having got the code I am now using the key. Not too much of an issue.

| Starter motor for RaRo V8 vs SD1 V8 | 27 Nov 2005 16:58 GMT | 4 |
I have a problem with the starter in the 101. I replaced the starter motor recently and now it doesn't always engage. It's a pre-engage type, with the solenoid engaging the pinion. Except it doesn't always engage the pinion, even though the motor itself turns
