Chassis overhal22 Nov 2005 09:35 GMT5
Hi all, I am just starting a chassis overhaul including all the suspension
components, my question is where is the best place to get the bushes and
nuts, bolts and washers etc: for the brackets and bushes from, and the other
thing is, would it be worth the fitting of Pollybushes now ...
Turbo Intercooler22 Nov 2005 08:43 GMT5
I'm thinking of fitting an Allisport Turbo Intercooler to my Defender
110 CSW (with a 19J engine).
I tow a large trailer and a caravan (but not at the same time!)
Compared to my 200 Tdi Disco, the Defender struggles a bit, so I'll
Adjust hand brake22 Nov 2005 05:39 GMT1
I have adjusted the brakes on my series 3, stage 1 Land-Rover with
great sucess. How can I tell if I have over adjusted the handbrake as
the drive shaft is engaged all the time.

Stolen - Eezi-Awn roof tent21 Nov 2005 20:27 GMT8
On behalf of some friends of mine, I have the unpleasant task of
reporting the theft of an Eezi-Awn roof tent from the roofrack of a
series III Land-Rover parked outside their house in Bradford, UK on
the night of Friday 4th November.
Fitting side windows to D90??21 Nov 2005 11:36 GMT1
I am attempting to convert my 1997 D90 van type to County. The body has a
number of small dents (ex-gamekeeper's vehicle) so I am not looking to do a
super-duper job, just functional and neat.
I have managed to get myself two good side panels with fitted windows for

RRC Power Steering Box21 Nov 2005 09:14 GMT1
The power steering box for my 85 Range Rover Classic is leaking like a
sieve. The 3 bolt cover one.
How difficult is it to strip and service it or should I leave it to a
specialist? Do I need special tools etc.
Passenger window sticks21 Nov 2005 08:43 GMT1
Disco S1 1993 3door.
The passenger window sticks on the way down and jams on the way back up. I
have removed the door panel and had a look at the rusting remains of the
regulator unit. What is supposed to hold the glass into the strip, just
Spare wheel holder - Help21 Nov 2005 07:37 GMT9

Few days ago I bolted the spare tire holder off the tailgate in order
to clean off the rust and re-paint it. It was bolted using using six
10mm bolts. Now, I can not put it back on. I am guessing there were

P38a: fuse 11 and transfer box in neutral20 Nov 2005 22:59 GMT1
The owner's manual for my diesel P38a says that if you insert a fuse into
the empty Fuse 11 slot in the fusebox under the driver's seat it will force
the transfer box into neutral.  I guess this is intended  either for some
servicing procedure or as an additional security device. ...
Power steering, unplugged20 Nov 2005 19:45 GMT7
Despite the best efforts of our very own Mr Beamends, my plan for fitting of
PAS this weekend has hit a snag. We have all the bits except the two groove
pulley for the end of the crank shaft.
How driveable is a 90 fitted with a PAS box but with no hydraulic pressure?
P38 air suspension20 Nov 2005 18:44 GMT5
Hi gang, quick question on air suspension with issues....
Start engine, all doors closed, takes a while to set itself to correct
height, seems to hunt around up and down as if seeking the correct height.
Occasionally, whilst driving, you get the warning do not exceed 33mph, yet
